I keep my $800 Sony Ericsson X1a in my front left pocket with my car keys and loose change. Right pocket has my chapstick and knife. Back right pocket has the wallet. For years I kept my cell phones in the front right pocket, and my knife would slowly rub away their finish. I'm doing better with the cell phone\keys combination.

Excited to get a new Sony Satio in a couple weeks and put it in my pocket. :D

My brother's HTC Touch pro is good showing of what happens with car keys and other objects being placed against phones. Scratched back, a few inpression dents from where a key presses into the soft plastic for an extended time (like sitting).

I used to sit on my wallet, until I figured out that it was what was causing my leg to go numb (pinching a nerve) You'll find many dr.'s recommend that you don't sit on a wallet.

But hey, if it works for you. I prefer to minimize the chances of my phone looking like sh#t. It's a very professional thing. I use the phone for internet ect when I'm out on service (downloading drivers in no internet zones ect), and for alot of customers they see a good image with a high tech phone that's well taken care of. I take care of my equipment and they take care of me.

I get a new phone every 3-5 months anyway. My X1 still looks pretty much like new. Only mark is from where I dropped it and the metal backplate carved a sliver out of the plastic case.

Getting the new Sony Ericsson Satio in a couple days. Looks like it'll retail for $799 instead of the $999 it's going for on Ebay right now.

Good lord...I want to smack people walking around with those as a "fashion statement". No, you are not cool because you walk around on a Saturday afternoon with your blue-tooth while browsing at the mall.

I bought a BT headset to use with my Cisco soft phone and my notebook. I've been told it's ugly but I really don't care, I'm using it because I like the functionality not because it makes me look a certain way. Hell, I only paid $10. So now, if I am traveling and I want to use my work phone I just pop open the notebook, connect to VPN and load up the soft phone client. Then I can make and receive calls on my work desk line anywhere in the world. :)

Also, what's wrong with cell phone belt clips? I use one. I can't stand carrying items in my pockets. I can barely tolerate car keys and a billfold. A cell phone is much too bulky and fits neatly on the belt which also gives easy access. I don't care what other people think, I'm not wearing it for them.

...

A lot of you people worry WAAAAYYYY to much about: 1.) What other people think of you and what you look like. & 2.) What other people are doing and choose to spend their money on. Talk about a vain group.

I'm glad you can afford a new phone so rapidly for such exorbitant costs.

Meanwhile I have college and an LDR to pay for.

But it's nice to get new toys.
