Are bluetooth headsets finally out of style?

They don't seem to be the fashion statement they used to. The lower class of society used to think they were hot sh!t walking around looking like robots, but this seems to have been replaced by crooked NY and LA hats.

I only ever used mine in the car, but I replaced it with a head unit that has integrated BT. I think my fiancee might use my old earpiece around the house if she's on the phone. But people who walk down the street using one look like tools.

Thisaone.

I bought one to try out for a few weeks last year, and what a piece of shit.

You must have gotten a crappy one.

I use mine all the time. Driving and walking around. I could care less what anyone else thinks about me. I'm not trying to impress anyone, I'm trying to get work done.

I don't really care what anyone thinks of the way I look when I'm using one... it's there for the functionality, not fashion.

+ Freaking a billion

bluetools, out of style, etc etc. Why do some of you guys care what others do? Worry about yourselves. For the record, I've never owned a BT headset.

I don't think anyone has a problem if you're using the BT headset while you're out. It's the people who walk around with them in their ear and are not in a conversation. I can assume that a few of the times I've seen them the person is waiting for a call, but I see them too frequently for that many people to be expecting a call.

However, the flat baseball cap with the stickers still on it is the most stupid fashion accessory.

I have a BT headset for my office and one (never used) for my PS3. Any other use is stupid beyond in the car.

And the people that wear it out and about are morons.

Anyone who ever used a BT headset as a fashion statement is a fuckwit. On the other hand, they're quite practical for some people, and still a useful tool.

Probably. It was $40 since I couldn't justify spending $100 on Jawbreaker. I returned it and bought a $10 wired one, worked fune until I remembered how little I use my phone. That and my chocolate bar phone died, so I went with a clam shell with the antenna closer to my mouth as opposed to my ear. Now I don't give a shit.

Who cares if they're out of style or not? I use one when I drive, play video games, cook, jerk off, and other activities that require the use of both hands.

I guess the million dollar question is how much less, exactly, could you care?

I never thought they were in style. IMHO one couldnt look any dorkier if you walked around with a BT headset in your ear.

walking around with your bluetooth headset in your ear while not on the phone was always a surefire sign of a douchebag, you just didn't know it.

link - that is the one i use. not only is it a bluetooth headset, but it doubles as my bluetooth headphones too, so it works perfectly with my iphone when im listening to music via A2DP, transfers to my calls whenever they come in, and goes back to the ipod after im done.

i love behind the neck styled headphones...they've always been the most comfortable for me, and now since its wireless, its even better.

edit: spelling, and in response to OPs question, they were never in style for me personally...they were just there for functionality.

I leave mine in my car and just turn it on if I'm making a call. Did take it into a store once when I had to look for something while talking to my wife to give her the options. I never wear it when I'm not actually talking on it.

seriously, I don't use one, but they are definitely a handy tool. Having the cell phone in a pocket can be a hassle, especially if they are small pockets. Plus, in formal wear, having a big boxy bulge on the side of your leg looks ridiculous and rather tacky.
