Are AT forums on the decline?

I know I had a long hiatus because I felt that there were a whole lot of politics going on. Still are, but I figured it wasn't worth cutting off contact with some people who I only talk to on here.

GottaDeal was my favorite place to browse a couple years ago because it seemed a lot homier than this place, but that site kinda got huge plus last I checked Ross is no longer involved (as much) over there and he was the reason I went there in the first place.

ATOT is a little slower, a little less edgy, a little less sharp, more family friendly and much more PC than it used to be. BUT, its still one of the best OT boards on the web, don't doubt that for a second. The amount of quality threads and great responses here is still much higher than other OT forums which are full of neffing, bashing, kiddie lameness etc. etc.

By now (this time around) I know many of the regulars here, and what they're like, I know who's posts I tend to like most, who is funny, who makes smart ass comments all the time etc. Sometimes being a relatively small - elite community isn't that bad.

I seriously wonder what keeps the both of you coming here on a daily basis, what does it make you then...?

I personally think there are many great guys here, many good threads, many dumb threads which are sort of inside jokes, and yes we also have neffing and crap like that, but the later doesn't constitute a major part of this place, at least not enough for me to leave.
