Poor Alex... Watching that ad revenue stream dry up... while his crazy Ex is beating the cash out of him... and Sandy Hook families are trying to crush his balls for defaming them.

I'm not much for schadenfreude but I do have a very dark corner in my heart for guys like Jones.

When a human being is repugnant enough, I don't think it's of poor character to appreciate their comeuppance.

Agree and disagree. I call it what it is and that's me allowing myself to be less than I prefer to be but I forgive myself pretty quickly and move on.
Hehe yea, I pride myself of that particular quality, I am super good at forgiving myself and moving on. I am but human. Onwards.

That makes me think your standards for yourself are perhaps too stringent as to be unrealistic (setting yourself up to feel guilty about something there's no reason to feel that way about). I prefer to accept life's just pleasures, and if Alex Jones getting all kinds of screwed ain't one of those, then I must ask, what is one?

May have been posted already but Dorsey on why Twitter didn’t ban him

http://thehill.com/policy/technolog...on-not-to-ban-alex-jones-he-didnt-violate-our

We didn’t suspend Alex Jones or Infowars yesterday. We know that’s hard for many but the reason is simple: he hasn’t violated our rules. We’ll enforce if he does. And we’ll continue to promote a healthy conversational environment by ensuring tweets aren’t artificially amplified.

Truth is we’ve been terrible at explaining our decisions in the past. We’re fixing that. We’re going to hold Jones to the same standard we hold to every account, not taking one-off actions to make us feel good in the short term, and adding fuel to new conspiracy theories.

If we succumb and simply react to outside pressure, rather than straightforward principles we enforce (and evolve) impartially regardless of political viewpoints, we become a service that’s constructed by our personal views that can swing in any direction. That’s not us.

Accounts like Jones' can often sensationalize issues and spread unsubstantiated rumors, so it’s critical journalists document, validate, and refute such information directly so people can form their own opinions. This is what serves the public conversation best.

Also I can’t stand the format of twitter and I think it’s contributed to diminished attention spans (seriously)

I understand these are private companies - but if these fucktards would at least be consistent with their rules, I would give them much more respect. But they aren't - they are politically leaning and disgraceful.

For perfect example see where Candace Owens quoted Sarah Jeong and replaced white with jew.

If you're going to ban misinformation - then ban flat earthers, 911 conspiracy idiots, etc... All I'm saying is - if you're going to make ridiculous rules, you need to stick to them. Otherwise it just shows you're being partisan - which isn't surprising.

Look how stupid you are.

No. Seriously. Just look at yourself.

This is about the stupidest thing I've seen on AT in quite some time and the right-wing keeps lowering the bar.

Either private property owners have rights, or they do not. Full stop. Any whining after that is just fully retarded sour grapes that your hateful and conspiratard nonsense is not socially acceptable.

Social Media companies are not private property owners. That argument is long gone because social media and tech companies own and control just about all the information that moves around the interwebs.

I wouldn't call it guilt. Just knowing myself. I know what standards and expectations I have for myself. If I fail to meet it too often I start not liking myself and that is entirely unacceptable to me.

Alex Jones promotes hate. Harasses people. Threatens people. Incites people. He had this coming. He's a disease. Flat Earther's just want to convince you the earth is flat.

oh and bullshit about the partisan shit! It's not partisan to remove hate or are you saying hate is partisan? Is it truly only republicans? If you're republican they might kick you out of the club for admitting it so openly and with out anger or whilst neglecting to degrade a person of color. THERE ARE RULES!

Alex Jones doesn't do shit. He has stupid fucking people that listen to him and THEY do stupid things like harass people.

Just like the Antifa folks on the left that attack and throw piss bottles at people they disagree with. That doesn't mean someone has ownership over other people's actions.

LOL! Yes, Facebook, YouTube etcetera, they do have ownership of what people do on their forums. They always have.

He's mostly concerned about consistency. A consistent stream of hate specifically from Alex Jones maybe? *shrug*

David Duke is a person with an opinion. His opinion is that of his race being superior.

Alex Jones is a conspiracy moron.

The two are not the same. Not even remotely. Again, I'm saying be consistent in your rules that you cite - and if you think David Duke has anything to do with Alex Jones then I simply don't see the correlation.

Can you link me to their official page? I looked and there seem to be a couple. The few I found don't seem to promote violence but I'll be glad to report any that do.
