Yeah, I don't have a problem with 16GB. But I understand that some people need more.

Yeah, I gave up on The Verge a while ago. Engadgets seems to work perfectly and i like the images in the header as opposed to inline.

I haven't watched a live event for about a year and it's *really* nice what Engadget does with separating the images like that, and make it consistent with the text if you scroll up and down.

Sounds like they blew this one out of the water. 4g with the same battery penalty as 3g? Pretty nice.

What in the hell are "quad core graphics"? It sounds like some marketing person needs to be slapped.

I think it's the same chip that's in the Sony Vita. Pretty sure it really is just 4 graphics cores slapped together where the chip in the ipad was the dual core version of the same chip.

I've been out of the loop for data too. Its $25 for ATT and $30 verizon? Does that include tethering?

I think the Vita uses a 545MP4.

I'd assume Apple is using the same 543 that's in the A5, but the MP4 version instead of the MP2.

Yeah, that's more likely. Seems like this shouldn't be an improvement with games that are designed for the new resolution, but would be smoking fast if developers ran at half resolution with more eye candy features.

Uh...quad means four, so I'm guessing it means a 4-core GPU. Yeah someone needs to be slapped for that...

The only thing that concerns me right now, is that I really don't see a reason to use the A5X in the next iPhone. Is it possible the next iPhone model won't see a spec bump at all?

Except maybe the 1GB of RAM, but Apple doesn't talk about RAM.

I just dont understand the retina display.

What is the point in having all those pixels when you cant do anything with them? You cant even open two windows, so you cant do any of the things that really require more screen space, such as cutting multiple text and image selections from multiple tabs and pasting them into one email. Ha! Make me laugh... You just try doing that on one of these pieces of trash. lol.

You cant play a video in one corner, chat in another corner, and manage your documents in another corner. So what you gonna do with 3 megapixel display? Look at dumbed down buttons and dumbed down optionless tabs and windows in a higher resolution? LOL.

And worst of all, if you play a game that actually could theoretically use all those pixels, it is going to drain the battery so fast you wont even want to play it.

What they needed to do was simply improve the battery life. Why bother with resolution upgrades when every piece of software is going to be developed to support the existing 100 million iOS device base? God it really makes 0 sense. People are just being asked to subsidize mindless tech advances for no rational purpose at all.

Of course none of this will actually stop 50 million morons from sheeple-trampelling each other to rush out and buy it.

AppleTV - cool but eh. I like my WDTV Live Streaming better now. The only reason I keep my ATV2 hooked up right now is for sending my iPhone 4S' screen to the TV.

iPad 3 - neato! Hi-res + 44% better color...but not 128GB option? No Thunderbolt? I was hoping for a video editing-oriented update - especially since that spiffy new Avid editor came out. Editing on the go sounds awfully appealing, but an hour or two of shooting on my iPhone yields about 20 gigs of video, which would take forever and a day to transfer over Wifi.

I guess that's a negative on the tactile feedback.

Also looks like I'm going to miss out on a good clearance deal for an iPad 2...
