Yeah, I really don't think people should, haha.

Looks like Apple just turned up the heat with the iPad3. Nearly every rumor was true, the most surprising is LTE.

"It's no small feat. This new iPad has the most wireless bands that has ever shipped."

I'm holding out for T-Mobile USA support.

I still don't think I care about a really nice camera on a tablet.

Yea, but think how crummy the old camera would have looked with all those pixels. I think it is less about people using their iPads as cameras and more about them not hating themselves and Apple if they ever do.

Any idea what a data plan goes for on an iPad? I've been out of the loop.

$25/mo for 2GB data (that data may be invalid as of 41 minutes ago), $15/mi for 200MB IIRC. No contract, and you can turn it on and off at will.

I wonder if iPhone apps run on the iPad will finally start using the HD graphics.

There was only one rumor, and that was the Retina display.

LTE and better cameras...Simpsons already did that.

The Retina display almost certainly implied a faster SoC to support it. It isn't a quad-core A6, but they did likely give the A5 a clock speed bump while doubling the GPU cores.

I think they've switched that to 3GB/30, but the $15/200 is still around for the iPad.

Luckily, T-Mo plus my Inc S means 5gb + tethering = $10. Yeah, it's only 3.5g, but still plenty fast for me. :)

I just wish I didn't need to have a separate monthly service with every damn device. If I'm all on the same provider, I just want a pool of data, regardless of how I consume it. This is like back when before routers, ISPs wanted to charge you a full price broadband package for every PC in your house. And if they're going to set caps, they need to do away with this monthly BS and just charge for data use, plain and simple.

Switching away from at&t to the first provider that offers that.

Yeah, I gave up on The Verge a while ago. Engadgets seems to work perfectly and i like the images in the header as opposed to inline.
