Fixed that for you. Are you seriously that dense? I guess all apple haters have to ignore reality to keep on that hate train.
Who wouldn't prefer the higher resolution display? The fact of the matter is it couldn't be done at this time. Maybe next year we will get it. Also the amount of tablets apps available for iPad compared to Android tablets is is a lot.Well i guess if that's the case then it's understandable, but it prefer a higher res display myself for that price anyway.
Everyone knows it's coming and some people have already seen the new pricing but if you need to stick you head in the sand so you can feel good about the iPad Mini for a few days feel free.

So what you're saying is the Nexus 7 has the price advantage today, and that advantage will grow in less than a week.Exactly like you did in the google now vs. Siri thread.
I gotta get down to your level to understand your logic.

Thats what I thought too!The price is seriously disappointing. At $199, it would have been a pretty good gift for the wife.
And really, there's no arguing that this is a good value, even if you confine yourself to Apple's lineup of devices.
Sounds like a line out of a Samsung commerical. 😀

His mind must be blown.
The iPad 4 has an A6X SoC. Guessing it's a 32nm A6. I'm wondering about the claim of two times the graphics performance. Does the A6X have a SGX543MP6 with a clock speed boost? So the mini is basically iPad 2 at 8" for $329?
What about iPad 4? Is it just iPad 3 with the new connector? No other upgraded stuff like front HD camera?
Eh, March to November is more than 6 months. It's almost eight exactly since the release of the iPad 3.Now that Apple has moved to 6 month product cycles on the iPad line, if anyone wants an iPad Mini with an A6 chip and 1GB RAM instead of the 18-month-old A5 chip and 512MB RAM, just wait until March. iPad Mini with A6X and Retina next October.
Yeah, the A5X only gave a SGX543MP4 (vs MP2) and 1GB of RAM. If the A5 (presume 32nm) in the iPad Mini comes with the 1GB of RAM, it should perform just like a iPad 3.iPad mini specs are a bit underwhelming. But they had to go with 1024x768, because a new resolution would have been a mess for apps I believe.
I was thinking I wished it had at least an A5X processor like the iPad 3. But the after thinking more, the A5X mostly improved GPU performance over the A5, and with this lower resolution it probably doesn't need the beefier GPU power as much anyway. So I guess the A5 is okay.
I'm impressed with the 308 grams weight. This tablet is lighter than the Nexus 7, Kindle Fire HD, and even Nook HD. Also easily the thinnest. Weight is important to me, so this helps make up for the lower end specs.
That size is so strange; looks far too big to be a mini, particularly with that resolution. Something more portable would have been useful, though of course maybe in hand it feels smaller than it looks. Kind of an odd release.

Tell me you didn't just say that.Anand's hands-on: http://www.anandtech.com/show/6399/ipad-mini-hands-on
Looks too wide for comfortable one-handed use, being over a half-inch wider than the Nexus 7.
Gotta keep the other hand free for other...ahem...activities.Tell me you didn't just say that.

What exactly are we arguing about again?
I think that since it's light weight you can probably hold it between two finger tips lol.Gotta keep the other hand free for other...ahem...activities.
iPad Mini, Tech Joke 2012.
I remember when the iPad was tech joke of 2010.
How did that go again?
