Whats the big deal? Aren't pasties legal on TV? They can have nudity in Europe, so this seems fairly tame.

How about the fact that it happened during what should be a family event at about 8:45pm while plenty of little children were watching (including my daughter)
Billions of other children see boobies and nothing bad happens to them.
Your daughter explode or something?
I grew up in Europe and saw nudity plenty.
If you are really worried about it, you can move to Saudi Arabia. I believe it is outlawed there.

There is a big difference. We have a ratings system here in the US. This was put on during primetime and was given a PG rating. So parents should be able to feel confident in the types their kids will see based on ratings.

This went over that line.....
Boobie!
Oh noes! OMG AIEEE IEEEE etc...
It is just a boobie.
Put the crack pipe down.
no kid ever went bad seeing a boobie.
now, up tight parent's that will make them want to use drugs.

Yeah, I figured this as well, but there are often unscripted things that happen.

This was far from unscripted.

It's also legal to have sex with animals in some parts of europe. Why would you want us to be like them?

So basically you are saying I shouldn't have any control over what my kids are allowed to see or not see?

You do. Blindfold them and keep them in the basement so the brainwashing can be complete.

Actually I don't even have kids. I am just defending a parent's right to control what their kids see.

Parents are supposed to SUPERVISE THEIR KIDS. There are systems in place to HELP with that. Why have these systems when a network is just going to do whatever the hell they want.

I guess you want to let your kids watch some hardcore porn. I mean why not, I haven't ever heard of visual images killing a kid.

Im all for nudity on cable tv, but it has a time and a place.

The superbowl is NOT the time and place.

Suggestive of the double standard we have here in the US----

Nudity/sexuality is dangerous and corrupting, while violence generally gets the seal of approval.

They show people getting shot all the time on TV, but one 2 second image of a human being naked and everybody throws their arms up. Lighten up a little.

I got a few comments.

a) Yes, it was very risque
b) It was still covered, network TV has that amount of clothing all the time
c) Have you whiney parents ever listened to JT or Britney or any of them? The lyrics have ALWAYS been risque, people just don't pay attention cuz they look so "fuity"
d) That "rock" thing was kinda, wrong. Most of the show was rap...maybe most of the people that can afford to go to the superbowl are rock fans, what about all the many many inner city people who don't go to the game? What do they listen to? Rap. Even a little JT. Janet, well, maybe she doesn't play as prominent a role with football fans...but I'm sure theres some.

I saw it in the original airing... full of static thanks to some network or time warner's rr.com incompetence. My first thought was, yeah, that's a breast... but why would her costume snap apart like that.

I LOVED the stunt!!! I just get a kick out of all the religious uptight freaks calling in and complaining! It just make me feel good inside knowing that they are pissed off. :)

Great job Janet and Justin. I give that two thumbs WAY up!
