Because it was all planned. Just another gimmick to try and sell records.

well I'm saying a good portion does, but for the last 7 or 8 years it's been crap that only pleases teens and pop kids who only care about the commercials and the 1/2 time show, maybe it's time for a show for the good ol boys again.

I'm all for bewbies and nudity on tv, but when it's appropriate. Somehow, the Super Bowl just doesn't seem quite appropriate.

They show people getting shot all the time on TV, but one 2 second image of a human being naked and everybody throws their arms up. Lighten up a little.

You seem to be forgetting one MAJOR thing. Those shows are rated as such, so parents have the control over whether or not they want their children watching. The superbowl was NOT rated for such an image.

agreed.

Yeah, I've been meaning to call up and complain about National Geographics and tell them they need to take those African tribe women off the show. I don't want kids seeing those women walking around all naked. And they are showing BOTH boobs! What is this world coming to?

Great job Janet and Justin. I give that two thumbs WAY up!

I do too, but please realise many religious people, like myself, are not uptight.
And, many uptight people are not religious.

That is FUNNY!!!

I am atheist. I just happen to believe parents should be able to have some control of their parenting skills.

Do I agree with the violence on TV? There is a time and place. Do I agree with nudity on TV? There is a time and place.

The superbowl halftime show is not the place. It took all the control away from parents.

For these people with no problem with it. I guess you wouldn't mind having your 3 year old see it? If so I am scared to think of what the next generation of kids is going to be like.

I am only 25 and I wasn't sheltered growing up but my mom did her best to keep tabs on what I was doing.

How about the fact that it happened during what should be a family event at about 8:45pm while plenty of little children were watching (including my daughter)

Better take her mirrors away before she hits puberty. Wouldn't want her seeing a naked breast or anything!!

That is true :) I am not religious but I would assume you feel I am uptight.

Also, I think most people don't get what my problem with this was. It wasn't that it was simply a tit. It is the fact that it removed the ability for parents to pick what their kids are allowed to see. Regardless if it had been a tit or something off of jackass, it took the ability for parents to make decisions away.

that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard... just because you have a penis doesn't mean you want to see one on tv.

Billions of other children see boobies and nothing bad happens to them.
Your daughter explode or something?
I grew up in Europe and saw nudity plenty.
If you are really worried about it, you can move to Saudi Arabia. I believe it is outlawed there.

I would just as soon not have my daughter see a guy rip a woman's clothing off on national television. Not quite something one would expect at a football game halftime show, eh? My youngest happens to like Justin Timberlake but she was rather upset at tonight's antics. Although, once I heard the lyrics to the song, I was starting to scoot her out of the room anyway. Just wasn't in time.

That's why I don't let them watch stuff like MTV or some movies. I happen to be a caring parent that monitors my children's TV viewing. I've been to Europe many times and I know full well what TV is like there.

you're one of those weird parents who wont actually let their kids see a pg13 movie until their 13. and even then, you're still not to sure if you want them to see it.

am i correct?

quite frankly real "good ol boys" are probably football fans that could probably care less about the half-time show. half time is time to take a leak grab a sandwich and another beer.

Don't get me wrong, i thought the half-time entertainment stunk as well, but i also believe that it doesn't have to be tailored to the tastes of one group of fans. Football fans come in all flavors with different tastes in music. why should the "good ol boys" (white males I assume) be catered to more than others? I forget the year but they had Britney Spears, Aerosmith, Mary J Blige and a boy band doing the halftime show. Not being a fan of any of those artists I still found it to be entertaining and well produced unlike the tripe they rolled out this year.

What's wrong with introducing nudity during the superbowl? We can finally start transfering some of that violent pent up Puritan american agression to something a little sexual. *cue Barry White Music* awwww yeah
