Not really.

But conflating a dooms day scenario, something you can't do anything about but pray to god really hard (and donate to his church, which he will not return after his false prediction BTW), and an ecological pattern that can only be averted with global participation (and have absolutely nothing to do with your morals) is rediculous.

Should we also compare it to Bush and how his Tax Cuts have improved buisness so well we are all floating in money and laughing at China?

C'mahn, "stay on target!!!"

the obvious similarity between the doomsday preacher and doomsday Al Gore is impossible to ignore. Both of them are engaged in alarmist racketeering with willing accomplices that support their KOOK agenda. Both use manufactured "evidence". Both require faith in the evidence. Both have massive revenues from "believers". Both have personally benefited from alarmist racketeering. Both are engaged in the maintenance and evolution of their alarmist rhetoric.

Ok, Camping has been at this for the better part of 50 years and during that time there's been an independent CPA which audits the organization in addition to whatever regulatory compliance is required. He doesn't make money off the organization. He's satisfying his monomania, but making money for his personal use? No, although he's entitled to do so.

Again, he's nuts, but he believes what he says and lives accordingly. It would be commendable except that it's screws up other people.

you're an idiot.

"Camping offered no clues about Family Radio's finances Monday, saying he could not estimate how much had been spent advertising his prediction nor how much money the nonprofit had taken in as a result. In 2009, the nonprofit reported in IRS filings that it received $18.3 million in donations, and had assets of more than $104 million, including $34 million in stocks or other publicly traded securities."

So who's the idiot?

Heh... what kind of doomsday prophet owns $34 million in stocks??? Even if just 1/10th of what he was predicting came true, the market would have plummeted.

Damn... this guy isn't just a nutjob... he's a scam artist.

He doesn't own 34 million in stocks. It's part of the assets of the corporation which are easily liquidated. Family Life has 66 radio stations and therefore is a business. No business runs out and spends every cent that comes to it immediately. Egad.

how much do you think doomsday Al Gore has racked in with his sky is falling hoax??

You don't think friends of Gore have recieved millions in "grants" to fund "studies" since his film was released?

Get a clue...
That's not the point, pollution is a REAL problem. And industries have spawned up because of that, not saying that there aren't any special interest groups, but it is REAL problem that they're dealing with.

Like it or not, we're polluting this planet way more than we should.

Gore is about man-made global warming, not simply polluting. You are stretching pretty hard there.

It does have its correlation, irrespective of how minute it may be, but there are some truth to it. You're comparing something that can scientifically be measured vs. something that is completely bogus. Get a grip.

And both, arguably, are hokus pokus.

Then it really is not a very good enterprise, now is it?

Geez man, you are really trying your best to change the subject and bring something else that you feel is being ignored (probably for good reason).

You got the hots for Tipper or something?
