I highly don't recommend it. I had AOL for 5 years (not my choice), so I know how it goes..
1. It takes forever to sign on, and about 20% of the time you either get busy signals, or it has to try multiple times to connect (each time adds another 2-5 mins on the to time to log on).
2. It boots you offline A LOT. On average, I'd say about once per hour to maybe once per every two to three hours of online time. That's on average/good days. On bad days, you'll spend about 20 mins trying to GET on, then another half hour trying to get it to STAY on, then about 10-15 mins of online time, then another 15-20 mins trying to get BACK on after it kicks you off and gives you error after error, then get so p'oed that you just say screw it. :|:disgust::frown: *phew* Anyway...
3. It's really slow. For example: I was playing this game on the [relatively slow] computers at school. It took about 1 min to load. At home, on AOL, it took about 12 mins, and the stupid thing still wasn't loaded.. and it was not all that big. When trying to d/l something, it would typically d/l at around 2 k/s on a average to good day.. on a REALLY good day, it'd be 3.5 k/s, max. On a bad day, it'd be 0.8 or lower.
4. There are other things people have mentioned.. you have to use the aol browser, and if you don't want to, you have to minimize it and use something else while aol still takes up space, etc.
5. You have to PAY for crappy service... come on, now. lol
6. Last but not least.. you can't post on AT if you have AOL! 🙂
