Ive seen several people on various forums with the same problem I have. Nice demo. 🙄 Perhaps we'll see a patch for a demo...

And yeah, that windmill looks horrible, way, way too over the top.

Pixel shader+HDR
Nice HDR+Shadows

My fps, if I had to guess was between 35-45.

Yikes, I don't like the way that HDR looks. Looks especially bad on those windmill fans. Blows out the highlights way too much.

arrgh! HDR makes it look eleventy billion times worse!
I thought hdr didnt look all too good in that cathedreal SS, but the windmill looks like a freaking lightbulb!

So like...this game is supposed to support SM3, no? Anyone know exactly what it's doing in the game/can you turn it on or off?

i was playing with all settings on high and i averaged about 45fps.

the mins were well below 30 fps and the max was well above 60.

the game seemed to play perfectly smooth

is having a lot of fps really necessary in a game like this?

But I remember AOM demo's graphic looks like crap before AOM came out. The actual game was a lot better.

Not in my opinion, but there are some people here that seem to think they need 100+ fps in any game they play. 😛

yea i agree

looks like ill be keeping my x800xl for a bit longer.

in a game like this i dont care too much about my frames per second as long as the fps isnt sooo low that my mouse pointer lags 🙂

which is not the case

how do you use the barracks as a "military gathering point"

i click on the barracks.

it gives me the option to make a "military gathering point"

i click that box, a flag is displayed on the screen, telling me to left or right click

then it does nothing

damn I can't read any text for this game running 1920x1200. Need to blow that up a little bit. Everythign is unreadable...

3500+ Winnie, 1Gb Ram, 7800GTX.

Running everything on full whack at 1280x1024 (biggest my res will go to, will be getting a bigger LCD soon)

And it runs as smooth as a babies bottom.

Ok tried it, and don't really like it. Nothing really revolutionary about the game play, and the graphics are really disappointing. Maybe I expect too much from those screenshots. I run it at 16x10 with most everything on high and AA on low. Maybe it's just me, I feel like the graphics in RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 and Sims 2 are more impressive. I don't think I'll buy this game.

Dl'ing, but catching a plane in a couple of hours, so it's gonna have to wait.
Guess I should've gotten a gaming lappie after all.

it doesnt support windows 2000.

And im not upgrading to windows 2000 plus (XP) for an interface update.

Ill bargain bin it when vista comes out.

bah, looks are pretty meh really (all settings maxed, no AA @1024) and it makes my 9550@9600XT cry (low 20s/high teens avg framerate)...wish i had my 9800 pro back 😛

hehe this is nice

12x10, max everything low AA, 12x10 30-40fps sometimes dipping to mid 20's but for this type of game it doesnt matter too much about fps.....one thing though how the hell do u play it! 😀
