Anyone try a vaporizer?

I'm thinking about buying a vaporizer and wonder if it's worth the expense, over a bong. Of course I use it to smoke tobacco mixes... Sureee...

I dropped my bong and need to get a replacement, but I'm thinking I'll just go for a vaporizer, if it's less harsh on my lungs. Experiences? Better for your lungs then a good ol bong?

Thanks!

edit
Bought one last night - similar to the $50 ones on ebay but paid $100 local (yay to supporting a local business and not getting weird shit in the mail). I tried it at 375 to 415 and ended up scorching things (this is what the seller recommended). I'll experiment in the future but i can see the potential - thanks for the advice!

They're great - I have a vaporbros(sp?) and its pretty cool. Definitely less harsh on your lungs and it tastes a lot better, depending on the quality of the herb of course 😉.

depends entirely on how much you smoke...

I wouldn't call myself a serious smoker, but I find a puff puff after my commute home helps me relax better than lexapro ever did.

I'm developing the smoker's morning sore throat so I'm a bit worried. I could, obviously, cut back but if a vaporizer will help...

Quick question - i currently mix a bit of tobaco with a bit of product before smoking in my bong, partly to stretch out my stash and partly for flavor - should I avoid doing that with a vaporizer?

My body just bought one this weekend. I really like it at first, but then I was like I think I like the old bong better. I am not so sure on the efficiency.
It definitely tasted cleaner, maybe better.

It's fine.

What do you mean by efficiency? Does it take more to get you going on the vaporizer? i heard you can use like 2/3rds as much for the same effect vs. bong/bowl

If your looking to save, get a damn grav. A small pinch is a hit and there is zero wasted smoke like there would be with any burning bowl.

Or a vaporizer, but really, 2/3 as much doesn't sound like as much savings as a grav is.

Unless you already smoke Tobacco separately, I would avoid doing that. Pot is easy to quit, but Tobacco, not so much. Then there's all the crap in Tobacco.

ah too true...

Go get one of these (Hakko 25w) from Fry's for like 30 bucks. Remove the metal covering the ceramic heating element and use it to light your bong bowls. Dead serious.

Havent tried a volcano before but ive tried all the other brands. Is it really that much of a difference when it comes to taste?

They probably had the heat turned up to high. OP just google whatever temperature to set the vape at and you should be fine. Just remember, since you are using a vaporizer the exhaled smoke is supposed to look less white than you would if you were using a bong. If it looks too white and doesn't taste good, turn down the heat
