i currently mix a bit of tobaco with a bit of product

Vaporizers make the bud taste like burnt popcorn.

I've never tried one, but I've read that the while vaporizers vaporize the active ingredient in ... tobacco, they don't deliver all the other compounds in tobacco, let's call them... tabbacannoids... that really make up the bouquet of the effect. In other words, you feel the first 30 mintutes effect of the tobacco, but the aftereffect, the enjoyable mellow couple of hours afterward, isn't there with a vaporizer. Anyone confirm / deny?

and wtf is with kids today? vaporizers? high tech gadgets to smoke your weed? shit when i was a kid we were happy to have a pipe built out of parts from teh harrdware store or a pop can in a pinch.

They are great, but you tend to use more product with them.

They use vaporizers at Alinea. They do stuff like fill a hollow pillow with lavender vapor, then set the dish you are eating on top of the pillow so it pushes the vapor out into the air so you smell lavender while eating. So it sounds like you are well on your way to becoming a master of molecular gastronomy.

I have very recently tried one for the first time. It was called a "Deluxe Daddy" or something like that.

very small pinch of product put into the chamber, vaporizer turned on and let run for 12-15 mins, then it was good to go.

i found the smoke to be very smooth and clean-tasting.

it seemed like much less was needed - i would think it would be a way to conserve your product and make it last longer.

the vapo that i tried was $190 CDN with taxes in...

con: not very portable. if you have somewhere that you sit and smoke, i guess it would be more practical, but if you're on the go or partying, it doesn't seem very practical.
