It's that time of year again. Billions of dollars being allocated for all kinds of ceremonies, families of deceased speaking out against anyone they can, and every news agency getting ready to pump all kinds of World Trade Center footage and terrorist propaganda.

My question is, does anyone really care anymore? I sure don't. I didn't know anyone who died there, and I shouldn't be forced to remember these people or the so-called "fallen heros" if I don't want to.

Yeah, consider this flamebait if you wish, but I care less about 9/11 nowadays. I wish people would simply get over it already. I swear, there isn't a single day I can watch the news without hearing some mention of 9-11.

Please be honest in your answer. You can vote one way, and flame me in the post if you want. At least vote honestly.

edited spelling mistake.

Agreed. What you say is harsh, but if you did not know anyone affected by this, it is somewhat tiresome. Of course there are a lot of people who were affected by this, and we should respect that. If it annoys you, ignore it. Thats what I do.

I didn't think it was too insensitive, I actually tried to not make it too flamey to get some real discussion going.

I wonder if the survivors of Pearl Harbor ... or the rest of the country were sick of it 3-4 years later.

:)

You know, the way people react to 9-11, you would believe this to be true.

Should we just forget about pearl harbor too?

We only have to remember them ONCE a year at most, not every single day.

because more than once a year would be to much to ask of you, wouldnt it.

I am tired of hearing all the names of those who died, but not of being reminded that 9/11 happened.

You will not stop caring once someone you know and love has the same thing happen to them.

That is valid. But I wouldn't want to force the death of a loved one near to me, onto a total stranger, every day for 4 years straight.

Yeah, heaven forbid you might stop and think about what people did before you to give you the quality of life that you have. What a chore that would be...

it's really actually unnatural to be grieving so long afterwards an event. PTSD people have the same reaction to the trauma. For most normal people, it should be gotten over and remembered as a sad event but not a life changing/stopping one so many years later. Life should have gone on and for those that dont allow it to, what they most radically affected now needs is therapy for PTSD so we dont have to do this, because tihs behavior to be so deeply in grievence so long afterwards to have to remember it daily and become such a duisruptive change is abnormal by medical definitions.

Move back to Saudi Arabia retards. This is a great nation, and such savage attacks against it, I for one will not soon forget.

I love how this response is inevitably posted to anyone speaking their mind against 9/11, Iraq or similar...

This piece of sh!t belongs in P&N along with all the apologists who pretend care... just like you think about the Alamo, Pearl Harbor, and X number of other attacks on America more than once a year.

A simple day of honoring the victims will suffice, on the day it happened, not dredged through the mud on a daily basis as a means of control to let your president do anything he wants in the name of freedom.

I'd sit back and wait for someone to accuse me of being unamerican or some other ignorance but it's seriously not worth the seconds of my life to hear any crazy nutjob remark about how I should move out of this country for voicing my opinion, this is fvcking America and I can speak my mind if I want to.. that's the point of this country right.

It's a little to late to speak your mind against 9/11. You would have to find al queda and go back in time to early 2001. It is not however, too late to speak against terrorist attacks which have yet to happen....
