Kyoukai no Kanata - demon hunting girl with sword made from her blood, kyoani animation quality.
Yozakura Quartet - much better than the first season which may have been non canon.
KillLaKill - from the guys who did GurrenLagann, half naked schoolgirl in quasi demonic superpowered sailor fuku.
Galilei Donna - 3 sisters descendants of galileo in a flying goldfish shaped ship.
Kyosougiga tv - girl with quantum hammer trapped in alternate universe kyoto spirit world.

borderline:
BlazBlue
Tokyo Ravens

Are those Echhi? Just curious, I never heard of those Anime before 😀

Recently watched Puella Magi Madoka Magica in one sitting. I know that everyone would say "Don't let the magical girl theme dissuade you, it's better than you might think" but I still came out surprised at how much I enjoyed it. Anime is something I really only started getting into again since May, but so far PMMM is easily up at the top for me. I'm usually pretty picky with television and even though I'm a completionist I'll still trudge through even if I want to quit, but I had nary a thought of that for PMMM. Was also impressed at the effort they put into making the usual theme of
time paradoxes
actually work sensibly in the story rather than just being something you simply have to accept. One thing that sometimes irks me in anime is the tendency to have some kind of tragic backstory to every character, done (I assume) to get an easy emotional reaction out of the watcher. For example, I also recently watched Neon Genesis Evangelion, and while I did enjoy it a lot, episode
21
(IIRC) when they start to create backstory out of nowhere and try to play up the mindfuck angle with lots of suicide /murder/trauma/etc didn't really have any effect on me because not only was a lot of it unbelievable to begin with, but it's like they wanted to link characters sheerly for the purpose for making things look bad. With episode
10
of PMMM, it was unexpected to me but made about as much sense as I could imagine given the setting. Looking forward to the new movie thing apparently due in less than a week.

current season implies airing now, most are 2-3 eps in.

Kyoukai no Kanata - mostly cute, though some of the females are endowed.
Yozakura Quartet - mostly endowed, some fan service.
KillLaKill - probably most etchi of the lot though no nipples.
Galilei Donna - about as harmless and close to family entertainment as it gets, though there are some guns.
Kyosougiga tv - closer to fairy tale in genre, so other than a sexy rabbit goddess not much to offend here.

BlazBlue - videogame based, just violence.
Tokyo Ravens - not particularly sexy but only 2 eps in.
Samurai Flamenco - harmless sunrise-esque hero series.
Infinite Stratos S2 - harem but nothing visible.
Strike the Blood - no etchi but a bit on the monster snuff film side.
Yuusha ni Narenakatta Ore wa Shibushibu Shuushoku wo Ketsui Shimashita - partial harem with tons of fan service and obscured nudity.

Ore No Nounai Sentakushi Ga, Gakuen Lovecome O Zenryoku De Jama Shiteiru

is hilarious.

I watched the first episode of "NouCome", and it was rather... awkward. The bit at the beginning with the "history of choice" also seemed rather unnecessary. I keep meaning to watch more, but I never get around to it. :$

I have a sick sense of humour so this show is right up my alley :awe:

No love for Tenchi?

My son was the right age as anime got big in the US, so we as a family watched a lot, all of the Studio Ghibli stuff, all the adult swim stuff.

What about Final Fantasy or Titan AE?

Someone mentioned earlier, find the genre you like, there are all kinds.

Tenchi Muyo didn't age well.

Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae o Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai

About a group of friends that grew apart due to a tragedy in their past and how they must reunite to move on.

No really an Anime in my mind but i gave Log Horizon a try. Only watched the first three episodes so far and its ok. If you played MMO's before it has its quirky moments you can relate to. If you never played a MMO then it probably wouldnt make a ton of sense at times and youd miss out on some of the humor.

The most popular MMO Anime is Sword Art Online. Have you watched that? 😱
