I wouldnt really consider bakemongatari ecchi, it was okay though.

highschool dxd is ecchi, sekirei is ecchi. queens blade is pretty ecchi, ikkitousen is fairly ecchi,

Anyone else have some ecchi reccomendations? I looove me some ecchi/fan service !

i was referring to the franchise in general. and while bake didn't quite have that much ecchi, neko and nise certainly brought it in spades.

I'm a bit old school.

Here's three of my favorites.

Giant Robo
Escaflowne
Castle in the Sky

Giant Robo is one of the only ones with a vastly superior English dub. Originally noted that one because the character artist is the same as the Lunar RPG on Sega CD by Working Designs which was current at the time. Taiso = Ronfar, Daisaku = Hiro, etc. Probably my all time favorite actually.

Oh yeah, and Initial D if you like guys talking endlessly about how to take a corner in a drift car :awe:

Initial D is one of my favorite anime of all time! Although, I will tell you that part of my love for it comes from its heavy use of Eurobeat, which is a rather interesting genre in itself. Eurobeat was pretty much European artists not wanting to let the 80s die, as the genre started in the late 80s and sounded pretty much exactly like our 80s synth rock that we had in the US.

For example, here's Max Coveri's Bye Bye Baby, which was released on Super Eurobeat #003 in the late 80s. It sounds a lot like 80s music, and Eurobeat hasn't changed much other than going up in tempo. Although, it is odd how a lot of the songs in Initial D are about love. Some songs may be slightly cleaner about it such as Black Power's Destination Love, and sometimes they are rather blatant such as Dusty's Love Injection. 😱

My personal favorite? Mega NRG Man's Express Love from the first Battle Stage. It played during Takumi's battle against the SW20 (second generation Toyota MR2 Turbo).

yea, it was weak =\

Shows like Attack on Titan (Shingeki no Kyojin) and Breaking Bad (yes, I am talking about a non-anime) really bug me. I just don't get how people can consider them great when they are so obviously flawed in one huge area: PACING. I've read the Shingeki no Kyojin manga, and I will tell you that it doesn't get any better. It's even worse because it's a monthly serial that only has double the chapter length of the usual weekly serial (i.e. half the pages over time). None of that means the story isn't good; I just don't think they're telling it very well.

EDIT:

I like that show.

It's a good show, but it certainly has changed its focus quite a bit over the last few episodes.

Clannad series is very good.

Clannad: After Story made me shed many super-manly tears. :'(

The Initial D live-action movie was incredibly disappointing.

Still sat through it because I love Initial D. TOOOOOOFFFFFUUUU POWER :awe:

Going to try out Kara no Kyoukai / Garden of Sinners.
Already know that I like the music (Kalafina) and the visuals by Production IG look great.

did you not watch past the end credits? um, kinda important bonus scene.

you also have to read the blurbs at the eyecatch around the commercial break.
I think the end, hinted us that we are going to get another Season. Pedo titan peeking through the wall hole. 😀

Just finished watching Gurren Lagann. Great story with totally over the top characters. Really enjoyable series...the first few episodes are a bit slow but it picks up soon after

ippo season 3 yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Couple of anime movies for the scifi crowd.
They Were Eleven
A Wind Named Amnesia

Jin-Roh - Wolf Brigade

Blue Submarine #6 - Absolutely gorgeous artwork
Tenchi Muyo - A little lighthearted, re-made a million times but enjoyable the first time around
Guyver - Watch the new series. Not bad, but the manga is so slooooowwwww and still ongoing. Thus we don't have a real conclusion.
Mermaid Saga - Rumiko Takahashi's dark anime series. Same creator/artist as Ranma 1/2.
Cromartie High - Offbeat humor series.
Hikaru no Go - Yes, it's based off a board game but the plot development and characters are interesting.

Death Note is a fantastic series until the last episode. The last episode is extremely out of character for Light. Light goes through the entire series extremely intelligent then becomes extremely stupid at the last minute.
