Finally got around to watching Seiren (made a release using edited GJM's TV subs and retail BDs).

Not as good as Amagami SS (loses in story, art, OP/EDs - although I generally like Hanako Oku), but nice that there's finally another omnibus series out, and that it's set in the same universe as Amagami SS (Nanasaki Ai's little brother is a supporting character, and they mention some familiar landmarks like the Port Tower and pump shed, hell Junichi makes a cameo in one of the flashbacks).

Shouichi wearing a pareo with a boner in the men's bath "assaulting" the teacher had me in stitches though :p

I've tried getting more into Re: Creators, but I have a hard time doing so. I think it's because the characters just aren't that interesting, and consequently, I don't care much about why they're there.

I latched onto the overall concept and how the artists deal with it. The anime characters are one dimensional because they are anime characters, but they do change gradually the longer they stay in our world.

So, I finally got caught up on Made in Abyss, and all I can say is... poor Riko.

I'll likely still watch it, but I doubt it'll be a binge-worthy series for me.

I just don't care about Riko at all...

I don't think the characters really have a ton of depth to make you care about them. I mean... it's not like they don't seem like good people that we'd like to see succeed for that reason, but I guess sort of like how I talked about Re: Creators, the characters aren't terribly interesting beyond the one or two trait(s) that they define them. Riko is just the lofty dreamer with the desire to reunite with her mom.

Although, interestingly enough, I'd say that Knight's & Magic is really the exact same with Ernesti being a very one-note character as well. The biggest difference is probably that Er-kun is his shows own Deus Ex Machina, which gives it that ridiculous feel sort of like Tetsuya in Mahouka. "What is he going to do next!?"

Yeah but a lot more is happening on Re: Creators compared to Made in Abyss. I mean Made in Abyss is 17+ for crying out loud. A bit of depth please or a lot more gore.
K&M got more interesting now that it is not one sided.

omg the original is sooo bad. I dropped the series - episode 30 something. They keep playing the same goddam Beethoven no.8 c major and random Beethoven etitudes and I hate it because I find it anoying because I can play it and its a very lame piece. Anyway, the series itself is boring as hell, people that say its good is a lie and new watchers say it's good is a lie too how can people say it's a good show? everything is the same i.e space fights and the fight tactics are stupidly straightforward stuff? I don't know maybe I just hate old series. The remake is going to be crap too I am sure. Dunno what I just typed but tdr i do not reccomend LOTGH to anyone, especially new watchers.

Change of pace.
Revisiting Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai (My Little Sister Can't Be This Cute)
Besides being a great meta-anime series, will always remember this series for acquainting me with ClariS
That and I can't seem to recall many occasions when Kana Hanazawa's character looked or sounded this pissed off :p

That and it is the spiritual predecessor to Eromanga sensei (same author for both, and the same universe).

Finished Aho girl last night. 8.5/10 really funny Anime. The main girl is super adorable, her facial expressions are really cute ><
Best Comedy for this year IMO.

Doh! Gintama, not Saitama.
omg really? Gintama is my number 1 Anime of all time!!!! Is it because of the long episode count or the Japanese jokes? I find it very very funny they explain the jokes to you in subtitles

Length. I like the show, I just don't care to watch all of the episodes.

And you have too many number 1s, I think you don't understand the concept.

You can just skip to the serious arcs. The funny episodes are episodic.

I have around 50 number 1s. Ranking system is overrated, only elitist uses that system :p
