Oh, its annoying when someone that comes up every month has a chapter with nothing happening? Pls, tell us Berserk fans, how annoying it is. >_>
You could be non-existent for months like Hiatus x Hiatus.

I watched a bit more of Classroom * Crisis, and I don't know... I think I'm starting to dislike it more. My biggest complaint is that the students of A-TEC are presented as the underdog protagonists that you should root for, but the show gives you absolutely no reason to do so. Anyone that has seen enough sports movies has seen this sort of cliche before... you know, the one where the genius "coach" comes in and whips the team into shape without them realizing it. That's pretty much the story here. The A-TEC division is presented as being completely and utterly mismanaged yet they just complain whenever anyone tells them how worthless their class is. I was really hoping that the story would take the route of the class pushing themselves with what they had, but they're not really doing that.
It seems like this is the "Season of the Ecchi" as there appear to be more accessible ecchi shows. By accessible, I mean that they usually are interesting enough without the ecchi to keep someone watching even if that's not their thing. Although, I do cringe a bit when these series randomly toss in perverted things. Like in the latest episode of Gate whereRory pretty much orgasms constantly as people die in battle around her because she's the "beacon" for the God of War, Emloy. ...seriously?
Charlotte... oh, that wily show. By about episode 4 or 5, I started worrying that the show would get a bit stale with its episodic format that usually just relied upon the same gags. However, that episode 6... Ayu-chan!!! I have to give them credit for one thing, I think they did the scene with the girl coming up the stairs with the box cutter rather well. It had a good horror vibe to it with you just hearing the footsteps and the cutter's blade.
How's Akagami no Shirayuki? I still haven't gone past the first episode yet, but I'm wondering how the story progresses? The characters look like they could be fun. Does Monster Musume get much better? I kind of got a bit tired of hearing "Dah-ling!" all the time. :$
That's a really good guide. I've seen most of the shows in some of the categories so I'm looking forward to checking out the rest.
3/10Anyone seeing the Attack on Titan live-action movie in theaters? I don't know if it will be shown locally, but the new DBZ movie was (missed it due to work, arg! although DBZ Abridged is mostly what I watch now lol). The cartoon monsters creep me the heck out hahaha, the animators nailed nightmare material with their movements!
Gurren Lagann. 11/10.Hm... not sure what I think about that. One of the things I'd probably try and ease a new anime watcher into would be the ecchi nature in anime. I mean... I've been watching anime for a long time, so I just shake my head and say, "Oh, Japan...". However, new people might get this crazy idea that ridiculously oversized boobs going boin-boin is what anime is all about. In my experience, people are dumb when it comes to anime. I had someone tell me, "I watched Princess Mononoke and didn't like it. So, I don't like anime." That's like saying, "I ate an apple and didn't like it. So, I don't like fruit."
Anyway, if we go off that, I'd be wary of suggesting Kill la Kill, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, Fairy Tail, Elfen Lied, No Game No Life, and Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo. Now, I'm not saying any of those are bad, but they either contain nudity (Elfen Lied), oversized boobs (Gurren Lagann, Fairy Tail), perverse humor (Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo), or people who don't believe in clothes (Kill la Kill, No Game No Life). Although, I don't think I'd recommend Sakurasou. I tend to like series like that, and it just got really bland and boring near the end. I'm tempted to include Nisekoi and Magi in this list too.
Gundam 00 is a mecha classic!? D: D: I realize that Gundam has been fucking awful lately, but 00 is far from a great Gundam series -- especially if you include that terrible movie (Awakening of the Trailblazer). I'm actually hoping next season's Gundam series will be good. The image that they show for Clannad is actually from Clannad: After Story. In my opinion, the first series didn't have that many feels; After Story is the one with the heart-wrenching story.
They also suggested Yahari Ore. I don't know if I'd suggest it. I liked the first series, but the second wasn't very good. The characters just became so distant and cold that they pushed the audience away. I think it started to redeem itself a bit near the end, but too little too late. Also, Cross Game isn't really a romance. There's a little bit of that, but it's not a big focus.
As much as I love Gurren Lagann, I certainly wouldn't recommend it to an anime beginner. If you don't understand plot armor and fan service and how it handles those, it is rather lost on most people.

Hm... not sure what I think about that.
Try MyAnimeList. That's the best site for viewing Anime information IMO.imdb has anime on it, and it has detailed content advisory information
attack on titan example
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2560140/parentalguide?ref_=tt_stry_pg
most of them will list at least some age certifications under certifications/parents guide with a country based age rating
I couldn't find any good lists with age ratings though
Anime is loosely age rated by age category, though the age ranges aren't very helpful and there's some overlap between some of the ranges
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anime#Genres
kodomo for young children
shojo generally for females under 20 (legally), under 17 (typically)
shonen generally for males under 15 (legally), under 14 (typically)
seinen for adult males
josei for adult females
The Pino filler episode was the best because she is soooooooo freaking cute! Cute pinky fluffy wolf pjamasJust watched Ergo Proxy and it didn't suck, at least not completely, but I don't think I would ever recommend it to anyone. The entire time, the big mystery was the nature of a proxy and while they threw some half-assed partial explanations at you, it was never really resolved. Aside from that, there were too many filler episodes. I guess these fall under the category of fan service so I suppose I can overlook that. But having a meandering plot that never ends up going anywhere is inexcusable as far as I'm concerned.
I did like the graphics though, mostly. The soft focus for a lot of the background shots was different and I though worked well for the most part. I also liked the fact that a lot of it was essentially in black and white. Not completely but the lack of strong color most of the time gave it a dark feel that I liked.
I also liked that it didn't follow the normal formula of constant escalation where there was always a bigger badder to deal with. So I appreciated the attempt at originality even if it wasn't perfectly executed.
That helped a lot actually and if those elements are really in the story and not just an after the fact explanation, then I obviously missed a lot. I did catch the part about the 2 different programs - Proxy Project and Boomerang but I don't remember any episode that filled in the connection as neatly as the blog post does.Btw I hope this helps http://ergoproxyexplained.blogspot.ca/

So I'm guessing 'the creator' was the former civilization. That's one of the the things that threw me off, along with all of the talk about proxies being gods.
I guess with all that in mind maybe I should watch it again but I guess I'm kind of biased against it now. I like complex story lines, I guess I just prefer that they be a little more explicit. For example, I loved speedgrapher and think that's one of the best animes I've ever seen. It was also a complex mystery type story but the exposition was much better - at least in my opinion.
