Crackles through headphones too.External speakers or headsets exist
I was considering this laptop too, but the company doesn't provide a customer service phone number.

How did you make it to adulthood?
Do you need a phone number for sales or tech support questions, or both?
I just wanted to confirm a 1 year warranty.
Not to be too cynical but just because they say they do one on the phone doesn't mean that they'll actually do one after they have your money and something goes wrong.I'm going to wait until tomorrow to call back Thunderobot and see if they'll do a 1 year warranty.
They didn't answer before and now it says their office has closed for the day.
And the best way to insure you pay it off every month is to have them extract their payment automatically from your checking account and insure that your checking account has enough balance at all times to cover the hit. Do this with your utilities too and any over monthly or bimonthly payment. In general, if you can get a credit card that gives you points toward something you want and you pay it off in full every month, you can do ok. Don't actually go into debt for something like that unless it's an emergency, which it almost certainly isn't.
Yes, or buy used. Don't finance anything if you can help it, it's a losing game.Of all things to finance, a laptop is the last thing I would consider.
If you really want a laptop then save up for it.
And certainly not a gaming laptop from a shonky sounding Chinese company that you don't really need!Of all things to finance, a laptop is the last thing I would consider.
If you can't trust Number One Happy Computer Company For Boy and Girl and Dog and RV and Family Compute Fast Screen Death to America, Inc., who can you trust? And certainly not a gaming laptop from a shonky sounding Chinese company that you don't really need!
Finance things that are both (1) too expensive to buy on a single paycheck and (2) expected to have positive returns on investment. Education and homes. Maybe stocks if you are very careful and really know what you are doing. Then anything else that is on credit should be paid back in full ASAP (by the next bill's deadline).Yes, or buy used. Don't finance anything if you can help it, it's a losing game.
From manufacturer or retailer?I'm on the verge of buying this laptop, I got a response from customer service confirming a 1 year warranty.

From manufacturer or retailer?
Again, from the maker of the laptop or the company selling you the laptop?
"Klick Online" is the name of the company that confirmed a 1 year warranty.
That's an important distinction that I don't think the OP fully grasps. Even though the retailer confirms there is a 1 year warranty, the manufacturer actually fulfills that warranty.Again, from the maker of the laptop or the company selling you the laptop?
As is painfully obvious, OP isn't so great at following advice. Even if you're getting an HP manufacturers warranty, I wouldn't touch this reseller with a 10 foot pole. Their Amazon ratings are skimpy. Also note that Amazon isn't doing the fulfillment (only the processing), so this is in effect like buying off of eBay.That's an important distinction that I don't think the OP fully grasps. I suggested above for the OP to call HP and confirm if this retailer is an authorized reseller? (crickets)

I purchased laptop from amazon . Is it authorized?h30434.www3.hp.com
While this is plainly obvious, he's very specifically interested in mobile GPUs if you'll recall, so this is mostly an extension of that I think.Honestly I'd only buy a gaming laptop if I had the disposable cash to not mind it stopping working in a company of years.
OP could build a killer gaming desktop and get a decent laptop for the cash he's borrowing for this.
But think of that poor GPU all constrained by lack of power and cooling! While this is plainly obvious, he's very specifically interested in mobile GPUs if you'll recall, so this is mostly an extension of that I think.
I'd be very, very surprised if he had a plan to pay it off!OP, have you considered what your pay-off plan looks like? How long do you plan to take to get your balance down to zero?
