Anyone here drive an Acura or Honda?

I was going to get an RSX and did alot of research. Acura has the least number of defects per car out in comparison to every other car manufacturer. Main points I found were that it was one of the most popular, enjoyable, and economically priced cars out there. Test drove a few and the handling was beautiful... then I checked my insurance rates and I decided to wait. (The magic age is right around the corner...)

I ended up getting a 2000 Honda Prelude. Been happy ever since. 😛

EDIT: Oh yeah, I get a constant 27mpg and always use 89octane

2000 Acura 3.2 TL 36,000 km, so around 22000 miles?

i dont drive it much since i live on campus and even when i do its just to go out with friends, hence the low mileage.

the mpg is 29 highway, 19 city. i use 92 premium gas, this car can't take anything below premium unleaded.

power...damn, for a honda family sedan this thing packs quite a punch. its certainly way faster than unmodded civics/preludes/accords/integras/rsx/tsx. (yes, i've driven all those types except the integra, but my friend's integra is slower for sure)

225 hp and 216 torque i think.

no problems so far, even though the 99-03 TLs had been voluntarily recalled for a transmission problem. ive never had anything wrong this this car, but that might be because its not used much.

What year and model do you have?
03 I4 auto accord

How would you describe the performance of your car?
16.0@87 stock
nothing incredible, but I've shamed some interesting cars in it

What type of gas do you put in your car?
premium, supposedly the ECU and knock sensor in newer K series motors are capable of advancing/retarding ignition.

What kind of mileage do you get?
25 city, 30 highway

Oh sorry, I got lost and posted in the wrong thread.

And by the way, isn't having torque a pre-req for having torque steer? 😛😉

You drive a 10 year old nissan econobox, you're one to talk about no torque.

Ahhh, but I never claimed to have torque steer.
He better grip that steering wheel tight with all the torque steer he's experiencing.
All 190 ft-lbs of it 😛

umm I have an 02 rsx type s
I get about 27/8 mpg. mixed city/highway

Premium.

I haven't driven it much though I barely have 15K miles on it. plus I don't travel that far. 10 to 15 miles a day at most and occasional drives to sf

190 is almost double your car. Do you even break 3 digits?

2000 Prelude

I give it "decent" for everything. Handling, acceleration, braking, etc. It's peppy enough for me, but likely not enough for most car enthusiasts.

Premium. It says I have to use it.

24-28.

I agree, but it sits high in the more economy line sports cars. Especially with the sequential shifting. 😛

Mostly 1989 Acura Integra GS
Doesn't have the stock engine as it was stolen, stripped, and recovered before we bought it.
Nice performance, although we replaced the shocks at about 95k miles (still under 100k on it)
Gets ~32mpg
Only problem with it is we forgot to replace a belt at 75k miles that broke at 95k, so we had to have it taken apart pretty far. Also, seems to be a magnet for theives - has been stolen 3 times, our other car (currently a 99 subaru outback) has never been stolen

What year and model do you have?

1998 Honda Civic LX. Four Door. everything's standard.

How would you describe the performance of your car?

running remarkably well, despite that i have to drive it in LA.

What type of gas do you put in your car?

87.

What kind of mileage do you get?

well i've been driving nothing but city, so i never go over 40 with frequent stops. i think i've been getting 20 something. if i get to go on consistent clips (like when i drive home to san jose) i've been known to get nearly 40 on a good day. average is supposed to be near 30 for freeway.

love my car.

What type of gas do you put in your car?
premium. It's recommended, I think, plus I have advanced timing.

What kind of mileage do you get?
19-20ish mpg? I'm not too sure.

1991 Honda Accord DX

Been painfree for many years. Only required a distributor and alternator.

Used to be a tad slow (mid 16's) but now she runs low 15's. I use premium; stock was regular and I consistently got over 30 mph on the highway. I've been very impressed by this car.
