Anyone else think ATOT is much improved since about 2 weeks ago?

Can I see my mod notes?

I'm curious to see if I have any rule infractions.

Can you provide the contact details for who I need to PM to get this. Or would I be able to contact Gillbot or Aigo about it (are they senior enough for this sort of thing?? I don't know)

btw I won't make the notes public knowledge.

Also, do minor infractions count against you?

This means if both parties don't agree, you don't post PMs. Now, extrapolate that to the mod PMs. We wouldn't give you permission to post them.

I don't understand. Someone sends me a PM, that is my PM that belongs to me, and can only be viewed by me(and mods i reckon). Whether I want to post it or not, should be my decision. As for the sender of that PM, if he didn't want that posted, he should not have sent it. Now I have never personally posted a PM, and probably won't, but I don't feel that the sender of the PM should have to give consent.

As far as your case goes with sharing these mod notes, you aren't going to send them because he was going to share them. Now that follows the rule, don't send what you don't want shared.

I already know my mod notes :

user waggy is to damn good looking for ATOT but hell if we ban him there would be a revolt. Also has impecable spelling and mod perknose has a mancrush on him (it is really in the notes!) :D

a PM is between the person who sent it and the person who recieved it (unless its something that needs to be brought up to Derek or a mod) . But to put anything that you don't want the mods or other users to know in it is silly. i wouldnt expect any of it to ever be private.

Waggy is chasing DBZ for actions recorded. Not a good sign at all :(

You cannot post PMs from another member without that member's permission. How much more clear do I have to be?

Respect other users' privacy and do not post personal or private information of any other user without their express permission.

Does not say anything about PM's

Also, please be respectful of what other members share via Private Message.

Just says be respectful.

nothing says you can't.

So are you going to add that to rule 9?

This was my point, but mod, sorry, mob rule meant I was essentially heckled till I dropped it. Didn't drop it though.

Look, you're trying to split hairs here.

Respect other users' privacy and do not post personal or private information of any other user without their express permission

This above is straightforward. Now just include PMs in that statement. PMs are of a personal and private nature between two parties. Now back up a few words. Do Not Post.

I am telling you you cannot post PMs without the permission of the other party.

That's cool, I just don't agree that it should be that way. But hey, I'm not the boss.

To make this easier to understand for the future I have cleared this through Derek to say this:

9) Respect other users' privacy and do not post personal or private information of any other user without their express permission. This also includes PMs between two or more members. The contents of those PMs may not be posted in the forum unless all parties agree to it.

Uhh, neffing in this forum isn't a real good idea. Please refrain from doing so in the future.

Thank you

At least now you're blatantly changing the rules rather than twisting them to suit your needs.

While you're at it, can we get a clear and concise update of all regulations to ensure we don't step on any toes?

No I am making it clearer for you people to actually understand since others are twisting the words around to make the rules something other than they are intended, when I said PMs are not to be posted without consent of both parties. This has always been true and when I explained it least 4 or 5 times, it wasn't good enough so it was clarified so now everyone can see it. No one was changing the rules.

At least now you're blatantly changing the rules rather than twisting them to suit your needs.

 at your outrageous comments about the moderation

I think this thread has long since run its course. Same story, mostly the same players, same result.
