community facebook account.
So what do you guys do with crap around your house?
Back when they got hacked, you had to verify your account, but my contact info was obsolete. I would have had to contact them to get my account back. I didn't bother. I guess I was tired of them at that point. Lost my flawless feedback, but I don't have to deal with ebay. I think I'm doing pretty good.
Also, I have a dead HP tablet that I don't know what to do withI don't want to sell it because it might have sensitive data. I feel like my only option at this point is to...destroy it :whiste:
Hah. I also have a dead touchpad. One day it just wouldn't start up anymore. I hardly used the thing but i had all my google accounts on it. I'm also afraid to trash it, so it's been sitting on my bookshelf for the last 2 years.
<3 Ebay, 2 months ago I got a new steam cleaner that's $300 everywhere else for $160 shipped. It takes more work than it use to that's for sure, but I find some WTF good deals on there still.
I have NEVER gotten ebay bucks! And my account is above standard!
You have to sign up. It's free to join. eBay Bucks You're limited to earning max $500 each quarter. That's $2,000 free money each year.
Choose "Charge actual cost" when you list the item, then choose the shipping service, package weight and dimensions. Then the buyer will pay the actual cost based on their zip code, which should be exactly what you end up paying, provided you print the label through ebay. One thing too is Ebay needs to change the way shipping cost works, it should not be something that the seller has to set, it should actually be based on the distance, and the actual cost of shipping. Not sure how that could work though, maybe Ebay could setup it's own shipping service or something that just has deals with the major carriers. So you print the label and put it on the box and the shippers recognize it. I guess the logistics of doing this would be complicated especially for places that might only have small local couriers.
If you sell an item for $80 and charge actual cost for shipping, lets say a Priority Mail medium flat rate box, which is $11.30. After both ebay and PayPal fees, and your shipping cost, you make 67.92.THE FEES!!!
Give you FREE LISTINGS, which equals to what, 50 cents savings?
Then... 10% to eBay after the sale, 10% to paypal, then shipping, and for selling something for $80 you end up with a whooping $30 (maybe).
I've found its better to donate to Good-Will and take the tax break, or just give it away to a friend to family member.
I'm surprised eBay hasn't been bought out by Amazon or Walmart.
No one that knows me would dispute my lack of sanity.eBay is decent enough for buyers these days since eBay will refund you at the drop of a hat. However you'd have to be crazy to be a seller.

Been frustrated with my last few Ebay purchases. Bought two items that were supposedly New and both packages were opened and 1 of the items didn't even work. Maybe I have a different understanding of what "New" means. Reached out to one to see what he would say (decide between leaving no feedback and negative) and not even going to give the other guy a chance to do anything. Going to leave negative feedback and will go through PayPal to get my money back. It's frustrating because I needed both sooner than later and paid a higher price and did a Buy it Now to get it sooner.
Reminds me of a seller that assured a PSX Game was "brand new!!" ...only taken out of its factory shrink wrap and played once "to make sure it works". :hmm:
Is there an app to notify you when an Ebay listing comes up (Buy it Now) or to even purchase it for you if it meets a certain criteria?
