Anyone Else NOT getting orange box?

Nope, as I stated in the other thread - not unless EP2 is a stand alone, and not unless it is a $15.00 stand alone at that. 😀 I can wait until the bargain bin I think. We'll see.

I'm not getting Orange Box either. Only thing I'm interested is EP2.

Yea I was sad to see SiN Episodes canned. Maybe somedqay they'll take the content and do up a full game.

I'm not getting OB but I was sorely tempted to get TF2. Now, since the announcement of a UT3 demo out within a couple of weeks, I don't care about TF2 any more. I may pick TF2 up sometime in the future if it ever comes down significantly in price and people are still playing.

not getting it either, but I want to. I havent finished playing HL2 or EP1 yet since I can only play 30 mins at a time (game makes me nauseous). Im in Highway17 in HL2. Gotta finish that and then finish EP1 which someone gifted to me. Gotta finish those first before I start EP2.

I'm a big HL2 fanboy but I really don't like the packaging. I barely have time to play any SP games and maybe a few times a year I can sneak in some deathmatch. Any game like TF2 I would get owned in like 5 seconds by the people who play for 10 hours a day. Don't really want the other games. Give me Ep2 for $15 and I'll sign up.

This sort of packaging games together sucks. The only game that interests me is portal. Why must I buy the other 5 products as well? What if you only want HL2 EP2? Bundling products like this is never a good idea.

I am not going to buy it, played HL2 and it was amusing, but I have not played nor do I intend to play Episode 1 or the orange box games.

:Q
What?!?!??!???!??!?!? a PC Gaming Mod that does not worship HL2?!!!!!!!!

J/K Schad!
P.S. I didn't care for HL2 that much either. So no I probably won't get the Orange Box either.
Besides with COD4, UT3, Crysis, and others coming out I'm sure that all gamers will be able to find something to enjoy over the holidays.

I loved tfc. I love tf2 more so far. The reason is that in tf2 if you work as a team you will wtfpwn the other guys if they aren't. This was not quite true in tfc. Now they just need to pump out a few more maps.

And i like the cartoony graphics, as long as they include limbs and other body parts getting blown everywhere.

Half life 2 was not quite as good as hl1 but what sequel is? My only hope is that starcraft2 will blow sc away

Meh HL2 never sucked me in. Couple people on my floor have been TF2 and it looks pretty sweet. But I don't want to play TF2 enough to pay whatever the price is. 20$ is the max I will pay for it

ok, where did all these people who didn't like HL2 come from? any time anyone mentions HL2 everyone "loves it, best game ever!!11!". when someone says they don't like it, they get flamed for it and no one ever stands ups and says "i don't like it either".

I have to come to the defense of TF2 here. Despite its graphics, which at first were a turn-off to me (I started my PC gaming with FarCry), it has been a breath of fresh air for PC gaming IMO. The feel of the game just makes it fun. Adding to that fun is the team based strategies and objective based maps that make sense (BF2 "tickets" were always whacked to me). So altogether the game offers a fun feel, while at the same time promoting team based strategy and objectives.

While realism has its place in video games, I feel that many developers try too hard to make the game look ultra-realistic at the expense of game play. TF2 = not realistic, but fabulous play.

Oh, and I bought the OJ box. I had none of the games in it, so it was a fantastic deal for me.

Yea, I'll never buy another episodic content unless I'm absolutely sure they will finish the story (aka I bought the orange box for $38 at CC). I feel like I got suckered into buying SiN + a demo for a next generation SiN game for $20.

Doh I just bought it at BB for $50...guess I gotta go make a return today after work...

No. I had already got HL2 through pre-loading when it first came out. I played it for about an hour before I deligated it to the Half-Arse Sequal bin in my head. I didn't like TFC at all. I won't pay more than 20$ for TF2 and thats because of all the good reviews. However, I wish developers will just make games like BF1942, UT99, CS:S and DoD:S and stop trying to make things gimmicky and Half-Done.

I don't like HL2. I thought the story was shit. I was a mockery to me of the story HL put forth. The ending in HL was kinda shit imo too. I won't pay for Portal. I won't pay for HL episodes because I won't update a game that I found to be half-baked.

TF2. Why would I buy Orange for one game. I'd pay for TF2 if it was 19.99 probably. But Orange isn't at all attractive to me. I only care for 2 source based games... DoD:S and CS:S.

nope, was never a fan of HL, honestly i feel it is the most overrated game of all time, HL2 wasent any better, ive always hated CS, i hnoestly dont know why people like it, and yea fuck steam
