In extreme climates I can understand it's close to a necessity, but here on the mid-east coast where (at worst) it just gets over 100, I just don't like it as much. Sure it feels awesome initially, but after a few minutes the air just feels stale and my sinuses get a little tighter. I'll take an open window, box fan, and glass of water any day. I also kinda like sweating a little. Makes me feel alive.

I really don't mind heat or a little sweating. Most people seem to think feeling a little hot and sweating a bit is going to kill them.

Um... Only times I dislike it are when it is a really beautiful day out and my allergies are not going to slay me. (Pollen) Otherwise.. Air Conditioning is awesome. :)

I don't mind a little heat. (It gets above 80F in my room a lot) I just dislike the smelling that comes with your little sweating...

Good air conditioning throws off time of death calculations and slows decomp. Depending on your profession, this can be a good thing.

I don't like AC but my computer makes it a necessity indoors, thing makes too much heat to rely on open windows.

Yeah, I guess I'm lucky there. No serious outdoor allergies (at worst I'll get some mild pressure). As for the smell, that's what deodorant's for. :p

So.. I just put deodorant all over my body? Just slather it on like I am trying to use a gluestick to make myself a paperman.

AC is a requirement in Florida; if you don't have it your life will suck and you could die (literally).

Lucky for all of you... >_> I have to deal with a crazy-ass pollen allergy that makes me want to die in a fire rather than deal with the allergies. No allergy medications relieves your symptoms fully... They only dampen it, and if it's a bad day... You're fucked so bad... Close up the house, turn on the AC, and like a air purifier if you have one... All that stuff.. You have to change clothes... take a shower. Sucks. :(

After three years in the Mojave Desert, I would have to disagree.
Even when it was a mere 100, I still needed it.

Uhh... since when does one's entire body smell? All I need is a few swipes to each armpit. The other "scented" area is covered enough that I don't have to worry.

Here in Southern Mississippi, I value air-conditioning very dearly. High temperatures coupled with very high humidity makes for a brutal experience without it:(

I sweat all over...

So do I, but sweat != scent, except for pheromones that females are actually attracted to (scientifically proven). Bacteria setting up shop in your sweat is where the corn chip smell comes from, and that can only happen if it doesn't move/evaporate. Just wear loose and/or moisture wicking clothing with some deodorant at the critical points and you should be good.

I'm not very fond of it either, particularly when set rather low. If I do ever turn it on then I wouldn't want to below 75. Would never set it that low as I don't want to pay for that. 78 is ideal.

Gotta have it, during the day I can live with it turned off, but trying to sleep when its 90 degrees inside and you are sweating your balls off is the worst.

If you don't like air conditioning, you are a Communist. A damn, dirty, red, Communist.
