rst = retail sales tax?
man sitting here at work for the last 3 hours not having much to do bores me out of my mind. I'm getting stupider by the minute.

My 9 year old is Autistic, and she is on the very end of the server end of the spectrum. She is non communicative, in diapers, unable to care for herself in any fashion, unable to feed herself with utensils.
Essentially she is in her own world where nothing else matters. Only a few things can bring her somewhat out of that world and capture her attention. Elmo, Barney, and Teletubbies. She will watch those till the end of time if you let her.
All we can do is make sure she is as happy as she can be. We are already speaking with doctors about the possibility of sterilization and removal of her uterus to prevent menstration.
If you think you have it bad, suck it up and realize that your life is a lot better than others that deal with Autism.
Dude (or Chick) there are days where she can stress me to the max. I can't even begin to tell you how many times I've had to clean poop off of the walls in her room.
Oh, and the only way she will go to bed without being up for 3 days is if we give her melatonin before bed time as she does not produce enough of it to regulate a normal sleep cycle.
I've never seen any kind of head doc...but I'm the strangest person I know.
Take your pick:
-Aspbergers
-Autism
-OCD
-ADD
I'm sure it's one or more of the above. I know that OCD and ADD seem to conflict, but I can't really describe how I seem to be afflicted by both.
OCD & ADD. Is that like a sloppy perfectionist? 😵
Dude, you're more man than I could ever be. There is NO WAY I could deal with what you're going through.
My wife & I have discussed this on occasion when we watch a show that features an autistic child...she knows I'd have probably bailed early. I just don't have the patience nor fortitude to deal with such a child. Hell, I could barely deal with our "normal" children.
In my launch period there is an autistic kid. The other day he stood up and spit food across a few tables at a guy. Yay keyblade master.
everybody has a disease now a days. I bet every single person on the planet could be diagnosed with some sort of mental illness.

Does he ever make it to orbit?
always suspected I might have a mild form of it. but I think I'm just rather introverted and uninterested in people.

Asperger's is in the Autism spectrum, i.e., it is a form of autism. Most say it is a mild form of it. More clinical term for both would be "Autism Spectrum Disorder" (ASD).
Some ASD people exhibit OCD behavior. From what I've seen most who do are more heavily afflicted, therefore people who identify as Asperger's tend not to show OCD as much.
ADD symptoms are pretty much present in ASD people. But, ASD people tend to be able to hyper-focus on subjects they are interested in (or some would say obsessed with).
My theory is that ADHD is not a separate thing, that these people are also on the ASD spectrum.
I obsess over the inconsequential, stupid little things.
Important things get ignored and disorganized.
I've been Autistic all my life. I'm able to speak and learn quite well but it makes me a boring person with nothing to say. I also suffer from depression and paranoia.
