Fvck that.

I got hit with the Pepper spray once. That was more than enough for me.
I'll avoid everything else.

Pepper or OC spray? OC spray (the kind the cops carry) is MUCH MUCH worse.

Oleoresin Capsicum is pepper.

Around here, pepper = 5% concentration. OC = 10% + chemicals to open the pours.

Pores. :p

I imagine it's just a marketing thing.

I was never good at spelling. And yeah, I assume its a marketing/regional dialect kinda thing. I think im gonna spray my brother when I get the chance...stupid firefighter.

The proper term for your brother is "hoseroller."

:D

I thought pepper spray was the colloqialism for OC.
When I was in the Navy on security we had to get hit with 10% OC before we could carry it around.
Miserable experience. Though I have been told that since its natural you can eventually build up an immunity to it. Supposedly you have to take a shot every day for a long time.
No way man. That stuff was vicious. And supposedly mailmen get to carry around 25%.
Some people have varying levels of resistance. Certain conditions can also change the effectiveness.
Thats what I hear. We had one guy was able to run through the obstical course just fine. He said he didnt even feel it till he got to the end and we hit his face with the hose. Then the stuff flowed into his eyes and nose.
We had another person who crawled up into a ball and cried and refused to do anything. She failed.
She was supposed to come back the next week and do it again, but somehow she bulls1tted someone and got out of it.
We did it out in the desert during july. I remember someone said "dont wash your face beforehand. Greasy skin will help prevent the stuff from sinking in too deep."
He was right. The stuff didnt burn my skin too bad, but the feeling in my eyes and nose made up for it.

As for the guys talking about pepper vs. O.C.: Its ALL O.C. They take the cores of 40 different chili peppers and mash them up then mix with water.

Depending on which state you live in, you will be allowed to carry around certain percentages and volumes depending on whether you have had a class or not. They have the spray in 5 percent increments all the way up to god-knows-where. Most places you can only use 5 or 10%. Mailmen get to use 25% (for the dogs) but they have to recieve training first.
I think in CA you can buy 5% in no larger than 4oz at most stores. (Though I could be wrong.) Anything bigger or stronger and you're supposed to take a class.

I have no idea what the mace laws are nor have I ever experienced it.
