You beat tasers by reflecting the pulse back to them. Once there were five guys surrounding me and they tasered me all at once. I reflected the pulses, frying their tasers, then killed all of them with one bullet from my AWP. They were standing in a circle.

Fvck that.

I got hit with the Pepper spray once. That was more than enough for me.
I'll avoid everything else.

Pepper or OC spray? OC spray (the kind the cops carry) is MUCH MUCH worse.

Oleoresin Capsicum is pepper.

Around here, pepper(aka Mace. Civilians can buy) = 5% concentration. OC = 10% + chemicals to open the pours.

badruth: how fast are the prongs travelling when they leave the weapon? Is it gas powered or something? I've never seen one up close...

They are expelled by 1800 psi nitrogen propellant. I'm not sure what the exact speed of the probes is, suffice it to say they reach their target quickly.

Seems like a very cruel device - I'd much rather be shot once than be continously shocked to immobilize me. Is it legal to use them while interrogating someone?

So it's less cruel than OC spray, which hurts for hours? Or an ASP which can cause broken bones? Or beanbag rounds that can cause tissue damage? Or a gun that would kill you?

And what do you mean is it legal to use in interrogation? Are you suggesting torture?

There is a company developing an anti taser suit for cops and the military. Basically all it is is clothing that conduct electricity better then a human being. Electricity follows the path of least resistance and will flow in the suit instead of your body.

saw it on T.V. the other day, I think it will be only available to law enforcement personnel only though.

I thought pepper spray was the colloqialism for OC.
When I was in the Navy on security we had to get hit with 10% OC before we could carry it around.
Miserable experience. Though I have been told that since its natural you can eventually build up an immunity to it. Supposedly you have to take a shot every day for a long time.

No way man. That stuff was vicious. And supposedly mailmen get to carry around 25%.

Some people have varying levels of resistance. Certain conditions can also change the effectiveness.

Part of training for many security, military, and law enforcement positions. Also can do it just for fun, or as part of a citizen's academy.

Yes, it actually isn't that terrible. You can get up and walk right away if they aren't pulsing you. Pepper is worse in my opinion. If you have a wire mesh vest that would work wonders. Anyting with high conductance to short it basically.
