Just wondering if anybody else really cares?

It doesn't sound like he is having a good time of it right now.

Personally the most likely outcome is that he has been lying and now its time for him to reap the whirlwind.

absolutely correct from the standpoint of physical evidence, but if everybody else corroborates what mcnamee has said then clemens has perjured himself.

I'm listening, and it certainly sounds like the Rocket is evading the truth, but they will not be able to prove it.

I agree,

Too many people corroborating mcnamee, I would be surprised if he doesn't get charged.

This is too close to call. One of them is lying though, Mcnamee looks like a big sleaze bag, as is anyone who is linked with providing steroids, but then again he told the truth about those other 2 baseball players. I don't know who to believe. Getting kinda boring too watch though, they're asking Clemens when he teed off at some golf course in 1999 or something, and if he attended some barbeque then... what does that matter? :p

I am so glad that my tax dollars are funding an investigation of performance enhancing drugs in a privately owned business.

because they are trying to catch him in a lie. You ask small things that will back up the bigger ones. If he tells the truth on a small thing that he may not think matters it can show the big thing he did was the truth, not what he said.

he under oath so this is their shot at him.

Yes, he said asking Clemens about a technical medical document that he had no knowledge of is like a modern lynching.

The tone is definitely different in this thread than it would be if it were Bonds. Personally, I think we should just let them all go and be done with the whole thing. Clemens and Bonds perjured themselves? About doing 'roids or HGH? Who really cares and who thinks they should even be speaking in front of our Congress about this in the first place?

We have a past President who perjured himself when he said he didn't get blown under a White House desk (yes, I reworded it) so why should these guys be subjected to any more punishment than him? :p
