Resh, very very nice post.

As for the not using testing WMD on Americans, well, sorry.

Interesting moon beam. That pages cites absolutely no sources. And then back to the home page... well what do we have here? UFOs? Extra-terrestrials? Area 51?

In July 1943, the destroyer U.S.S. Eldridge pulled into the Delaware Bay area for a United States Naval experiment that involved the task of making the ship invisible. The project's official name is Project Rainbow, but was nicknamed and more commonly known as the Philadelphia Experiment.

I didn't realize that movie was a factual documentary. Wow, there's even talk about The Monolith from 2001 Space Oddysey in there. Didn't realize astronauts have actually seen that.

No need to apologize Moonbeam. I finally realize where you're coming from. 😉

SnapIT,

Sorry, you're right. I re-read the post and remembered that the USA is the only point in time and space that has ever allowed the right of free speech to its citizens.

My apologies for my ignorance.

PS - Thanks Moonie.

War helps the economy.

Explain how this potential war in Iraq is, in any significant way, going to help the economy.

War creates jobs. Money gets spent on weapons and whatnot.

I seriously doubt this upcoming war will create very many jobs and the money will get spent in a very narrow part of our economy. War's help economies when industries get nationalized for the war effort. This little skirmish isn't going to do much for the economy and if I remember correctly the Gulf War didn't do much for it then either.

It takes time for the economy to improve. It doesn't go down overnight, and it sure isn't going to get better overnight. If the Gulf War would have been done right the first time and Saddam taken out, we would also be in a lot better shape right now, not booming, but not in as deep of a recession as we are today.

I agree. We should have done it right the first time.

when ya can't be criticizing the usa goverment or the pres, it's time to get a new goverment, and it looks like we are heading that way anyhow.

La, shoecron to Bush, that is arabic, means "no thank you"
Bush is Magnoon, magnoon means crazy

Anybody agree that Moonie makes Al Sharpton look like a conservative?? 😛

What would you like to bet that Saddam can actually pronounce nucular (sic.)?

Haven't you ever thought that it might possibly be his ACCENT, instead of stupidity? If you people want to criticize him over something as small as an accent, why don't you get up and run for president? Can you do a better job? I think not, that's why you're where you're at now and not in the White House.

Damn ignorant people

That and that I'm 26...and the person who can do the better job doesn't always win, it's the person who can convince the largest majority that they'll do a better job who wins...except in 2000.

I can see Ahmurca as accent. Nucular is not accent, it's a mispronounce.

WizardLRU,

How is it that having Saddam Husein in power has brought the USA, and most of the rest of the industrialized world, to recession?

Could you please explain?

Wrong. Both are mispronunciations, although nucular for nuclear is not as "bad" of a mispronunciation as Ahmurca for America.

Ahmurca is an accented version of America.

Nucular is a completely different word than Nuclear. The structure of the word is change

Ok, so you're saying that if a letter is removed (as in the i sound that is distinctly lacking from Ahmurca), then it is an accent, but if a letter is added (as in the extra u in Nucular), then it is a mispronunciation? That simply doesn't make sense. Both are the result of either a mispronunciation, or an accent; make up your mind which it is going to be.

Anyway, to criticize the president because he doesn't talk with the same accent that you do is also silly. If you want your side of the argument to have weight, pick something worth arguing about.

"Don't underestimate incorrectly." 🙂

Seriously, Bush is not the best public speaker, and I'm not debating that point. I just feel that some people are being way too picky about it, and the things they choose to pick on do not really have any purpose for debate.

Anyway, maybe Bush should be a poet instead. At least they're allowed to make up new words, and people don't complain about it (usually). 😉

Sure. How old is he?

older than ya might think, he is a big fisherman and hunter.
why is it right wingers always come up with this age BS, it's becuase they can't argue very good, or have lost the arguement

Gosh, Sega, i got that link cause i couldn't fine my original. Glad you learned something from the home page. I never looked.

Thy this or
here or
here.

it's nice not to waht to know things, but if you gave equal diligence to looking past sources and into whether the facts are there you might learn something different than you might have supposed. My links were illustrative of what is widely known by many.

Basically, you are way too trusting and I'm a skeptic. I can tolerate bad news about my sacred beliefs. 😀

I just want to know how old he is. He sounds like he could be a retired guy to me but I wanted to be sure.

Its threads like these that make me want to take a speed reading course.

Everytime i see that smirk on Bush's face, it reminds me of this mechanic who was trying to sell me a part for my car that I didn't need.

If you don't like this country or it's leader...

GET THE HE|| OUT

It's that simple.

I know for a fact that the President of the US NEVER tested bio-chem weapons on his own people.
Since when is criticizing our government and our President been Un American? I think it's our patriotic duty to do so if we feel they are wrong. The last thing a free country needs are citizens who keep quiet when they blelieve the Government is wrong and overstepping it authority. In addition, to blindly follow and accept everything the Government says as the gospel truth and to go as far as to label those who have a disenting opinion as unpatriotic is not only fool hardy and dangerous, but an unpatriotic act in itself.

When you choose to support a dictator... a sworn enemy to your country... over your own President, you are both unpatriotic and unamerican. Moonbeam is a sniveling little liberal piece of crap. He states he trusts Saddam more than Bush... if that truly is the case, then he needs to turn in his social security card, move to northern Iraq, and hang with the Kurds for a while. His liberal bias has finally completely blinded him to any sense of reality. Maybe a vacation in Saddam's back yard can restore it.

Garafalo was on Jimmy Kimmel last night and she was an anti-war liberal who at least made sense... one who wants Saddam out but wants to force him out through means other than war. For liberals like Moonbeam who willingly support an evil man (Saddam) over their elected leader (Bush) because of their blind adhearance to liberal causes, they have stopped being rational, patriotic Americans and have become no better than Nazis. IMHO, moonbeam is the moral equivalent to a modern day nazi... someone who turns a blind eye to real evil to advance their political beliefs. He has lost his right to call himself American.

Just because you don't think you need it doesn't mean you shouldn't have it. Catalytic converters aren't necessary to keep the car running but is very necessary to everyone in the long run. 😉

Stark:

(Yoy are an ignorant putz, Stark. I mentioned two or three times in this thread that I was not supporting Saddam over Bush, and I have said a hundred times I trust this countyry over others. I made a joke out of the fact that you can count on Saddam lying but never know for sure when Bush is. Maybe you have no personal pride and don't care who you vilify out of your own stupidity and lazy inability to read a thread but it's pretty sad. Go Fc*K yourself.

Moonbeam is a sniveling little liberal piece of crap. (You 're the one sniveling ) He states he trusts Saddam more than Bush... if that truly is the case, (which is isn't and you would know if you read) then he needs to turn in his social security card, move to northern Iraq, and hang with the Kurds for a while. His liberal bias has finally completely blinded him to any sense of reality. Maybe a vacation in Saddam's back yard can restore it.(Having fun on the lunitic fringe?)

(Hey what do you know, me too) For liberals like Moonbeam who willingly support an evil man (Saddam) (You lie, I never Supported Saddam)over their elected leader (Bush) because of their blind adhearance to liberal causes, they have stopped being rational, (You would have st start being rational before you could stop)patriotic Americans and have become no better than Nazis. IMHO, moonbeam is the moral equivalent to a modern day nazi... ((In my opinion you are a simpleton)someone who turns a blind eye to real evil to advance their political beliefs(That is exactly what you did here. You turned a complete blind eye to my real position and went on an ignorant stupid childish, uninformed inane rant), . He has lost his right to call himself American. (You don't deserve to call yourself one) You are the kind of vacant minded reactionary that burn witches. 😀
