Coming from an HTC Vision (aka Tmobile G2) I feel like my only upgrade path is the Mytouch 4G Slide. and with HTC rebranding itself around the One series, I feel that an HTC made G3, or any other high end QWERTY phone is out of the question now.

Just heard may 3rd well be the official announcement. hopefully the release will be shortly after, and worldwide. The delay in the first place was to ensure a worldwide release, and have the phone come out shortly after announcement, so I'm guessing by June we should be able to buy :)

Worldwide release doesn't necessarily mean you'll be able to get it subsidised from your carrier on the release date.

well i thought the whole point of delaying it was to not have what happened last time? Obviously it wont be the exact same time, but i was led to beleive that this time it would be different.

Not like it really matters all that much to me. Im done buying ATT branded phones. Even if they come out on ATT the same day, id rather just spend a little extra and get the international version.

Still banking on a Sept launch on a US carrier at the earliest. June for international.

Samsung's not the problem. They could probably have that phone worldwide on every network on release day if it were up to them. AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint and Verizon are the problems.
