How do you figure? Most of the signs and things I see are all along the lines of "life isn't fair, forgive my debt, banks R bad". Well guess who they want to pay for all of their "free" stuff? Me. So damn straight I'm going to fight against it, it's in my best interests to do so.

You're "pragmatism" sound exactly like the spittle that comes out of Michael Moore's mouth. It's very far left/socialist talking points. That would be TERRIBLE for our country to go down that path. It is nice to see proven that this is a far left fringe "movement". You can tell by the points people that support them espouse.

LOL - seriously? Seriously? Read your second paragraph again and then think about it. You might burn up a few brain cells, but eventually, you'll make the connection. It's okay, at least you're trying.

You are instantly turning a Limbaugh and trying to pull a fat man out of your hat?

Guilt by association is one thing, but guilt by ASSUMED association is just plain slander.

As for "most of the signs I see", that is another load. When you only choose to look at what you feel supports your position, it gets difficult to form an honest opinion on the situation.

These guys have been around a MONTH, but yet it took 2+ weeks for you to even notice them?

1) Ignore (check)

Then you come in and start screaming "hippies go home"

2) Make fun of (check)

And now you are calling for the cops to do something, that these guys are all full of crap and should be "dealt" with...

3) Fight (getting close).

You are not discussing and seriously trying to come to a solution.

BTW, the Teabaggers have left town. they found out that they really do not agree about things. All said they wanted less government involvement in things, until that came to stuff like Gay Marriage and Abortion. THEN they wanted the government to intervene.

The biggest problem in that selective involvement is that you eventually start seeing that your fellow TBers also have their own interests that they want supported that might be in conflict with your own.

So it all boiled back down to a bunch of conservative nay-sayers looking to keep things where they feel comfortable until they themselves are the next in line.

Sheeple on the abattoir gangplank.

BTW, what would happen if one of these OWS people started carrying around an AK47 like that one guy at that TB rally?

One man at the rally, Jim Dillon, approached the crowd carrying an AK-47 on his shoulder that he said was unloaded and legal. A state trooper stopped the man, examined the weapon and then left him alone.
http://www.nola.com/politics/index.ssf/2010/04/tea_party_rally_in_austin_hear.html

How do you think that would be handled here? I don't think he would have a trooper look at it and say "ok".... And I seriously doubt he would get a bunch of 1st amendment supporters rushing to his side to defend him (in life and online).

But that is just the nature of supporting what you think rather that what you say....

They just passed by my job. About 100 singing and chanting and playing bongos. I was out having a smoke and no one was really paying attention to them. Even the Jews Mitzva tank didnt skip a beat.

You don't really matter. It is what the general public sees and pays attention to.

As for nobody seeming to notice, as you have already demonstrated, it would be looked on poorly if you were to "notice" them.

The king may have no clothes, but sure as hell none of you are going to tell him.

Corporate America wanted the masses to envy their neighbors and buy more and more to keep up with them and now that the greedy lusting little maggots are losing their jobs they are turning on the hand that created them. You better have a lot of cake because they are coming to eat you alive. Millions of sad little robots and lusting automatons all properly trained, are on the march and they want and they want and they want what you have, just as you intended.

yes, the Statists of each sort (Liberal/Progressive and Conservative/Progressive) want their 'followers' to fight each other. it gins up interest in supporting the status quo

the group identity and group think is killing the USA. the party is an illusion, there is no entity which will save you besides yourself.

As comes up in a lot of these threads, Spidey is a top 5%er, top tax bracket, etc.

Right. Not rich. No congress critter at my beck and call. No evil back door secret meetings on how to screw the little guy, etc.

It always gets me when someone looks at a bunch of poor people protesting and they start calling out names like "loser" and saying if they had some marketable skills, etc etc. But yet the first guy shows up with an iPhone and it is instantly "spoiled" Liberal Arts student, etc.

Stop looking at the messenger and look seriously at the message. Casual dismissal does nobody any good.

Just a nice cushy government salary from your wife to help things out. You should campaign to have her fired, she is a public sector leech after all, sucking off our created wealth.

Here's a news flash for you: the vast majority of the "protesters" are not "poor."

And, more importantly, what is their "message," exactly?

What are you basing that on, and how do you define poor?
I define "poor" as anyone who is in the low % of citizens who live below the poverty line -- the vast majority of which are inner-city residents in all major cities.

Young people who are in families that are above the poverty line are NOT poor.

The polls of protesters I've seen over the last few weeks indicate that most come from middle-class families. Inner-city poverty-stricken protesters are few and far between.

Kinda simple, really.

Oh I need his job. Get paid millions to be an insane partisan hack on the internet all day.

But then again, I'd be driven mad trying to keep commies hands off my millions...what a double edged sword.

I now understand his struggle.
