Thank you for contacting ADATA USA.

We have 3.4.5 RC4 ready to be released to the public within the next few days. And an official 3.4.5 within the following weeks, but have uploaded a tool to Megaupload if you like to take advantage of it now.

Upgraded my MicroCenter 64GB G2 SSD firmware 3.4.3 to 3.4.6 but sometimes when boot up, it can't detect the drive and a restart would fix that.

I am working with their engineering dept. I suggest anyone who is BSODing with the RC4 revision email them and let them know the make and model of your PC/Book... May help them weed out the bug(s) once and for all...

I was getting BSOD's on resume everytime from sleep. Hibernation worked fined.

I tried updating the firmware both in the machine and as a slaved drive in another machine. In this machine the drive couldn't be found by the updater. In the other machine, it would seem to work, but the drive still shows firmware 3.1

However, I went into the bios and told it to Repost video on S3 resume. So far, I have resumed about 10 times without a BSOD.

I have an H55 chipset, with i3-550 cpu using the built in Intel HD graphics, running Windows 7 64bit.

Just an FYI in case this might work for some other people.

EDIT: Further experience showed a BSOD about once every 15 times.
I did just manage to get the 3.4.6 firmware on it by using WinXP sp2 mode under Win7. Will keep you apprised.

well i got a reply from adata and this is what they said. annads i guess screens out "hot file dot com" but thats what was there.

Thank you for contacting ADATA USA.

We previously had 3.4.6 on our site but found it to reflect double the actual temperature (no actual heating issues) and caused confusion amongst customers, so have decided to pull it from our site.

We will place 3.4.3 on our website in the next few days, and as well place a 3.5 Release Candidate (RC4) on our site. 3.5 RC4 will address directly the sleep mode issues, however this is not the final version (similar to a beta). If you rather wait for the final version of 3.5 it is expected to be released in mid April.

well i got it to detect the drives by using xp sp2 compatibility mode like "Techs" mentioned.

the firmeware actually shows up at 3.4.H as the version. hopefully this fixes it until 3.5.0 actually comes out.

fantastic, i put the RC4 of 3.5 on my ssd, first time i suspend it blue screens.

i'm tired of this crap. adata/ sandforce can suck it. i mean these are sandforce firmwares if anything, a-data isnt writing them. so they both suck. why doesnt anands etc write an article about this. all you get is glowing reviews on all the review sites about anything sandforce when the drives run reference firmwarsd that suck anyway.

I am getting this new SSD next week. I got it new for $89.99 shipped.

I got a new Agility 2 last week and OCZ already fix theirs with the sleep thing on the Sandforce controller. I just did the firmware update few days ago.

Makes you wonder who is better? OCZ vs Adata vs Corsair and others ???

Well here it is,The new updated firmware for the Adata S599 & MicroCenter SSD's.http://www.adatausa.com/index.php?action=ss_main

EDIT:Maybe not,Downloaded it from Adata and it say's it's 3.4.6.

Sweet nice find. Would be really strange if they reposted the same old 3.4.6 Although maybe it is just the fixed version to display the correct temps. Then again they would not keep the same version number... Either way I am dling going to flash and post back with results.

The 3.4.6 build date is 12-30-2010 as opposed to the RC4 dated 2-23-2011...

Is it possible they would repost the old firmware? Wtf...

Thanks I re-flashed mine anyway but haven't had time to test... Look forward to their responce...

Just a note on the raid setup is there any special way to flash them? I am assuming you have to break the raid to put the PC in AHCI mode?? Would that not wipe out a stripe array? unless you are imaging the drives and then restoring?

Yes,This is how I do it.Just break the array. Then you can set it up as AHCI,then reinstall OS,Flash drive and do the same to the other SSD.Then reset your array to raid,Then install OS and other drivers and software. And your done.
It's a lot of work. But still better benchmark numbers and temps.

Why not use a program like Acronis to make a backup image before you do the work... You could restore the image after the flashes and save your self a lot of work.. Just a thought. PM me if you want more detail rather then take this thread off topic...
