Any fans of the movie Gladiator in here?

Gladiator is my favorite movie of all time!

Troy wasn't bad, but it was nowhere close to Gladiator. The story and the fighting in Gladiator was amazing

Your outnumbered here, I don't think I've met a single person on or offline besides you who actually liked Troy. One of the posters here said the only good thing about it was Eric Bana's performance, and he's right, Bana was good, but the movie sucked arse. It didn't explain anything, hell, it didn't even tell you why Achilles was such a great warrior or why it was his heal that was his weakness. The movie was terrible. Go look up the ratings on yahoo movies, the critics agree, everyone here agrees, there's no way you're going to convince anyone that Troy was even remotely close to Gladiator.

Gladiator was a bad film hastely chopped up so they can soak as much money in the box office as possible. Suckers.

I thought that Troy didn't have to explain anything. Isn't some greek mythology common knowledge? like about achilles heel? I'm sorry, but there was no story in Gladiator and the battle scenes are not better than Troy's.

btw, as a movie, Troy was nothing but a copy of Gladiator. Just like King Arthur and Alexander. They're just trying to capitalize on Gladiator's huge success.

Gladiator was an ok movie. I've watched it twice and I'm not rushing to watch it again, but I'm not sorry I watched it.

A lot of historical inaccuracies by the way if you are a historical nut, this might drive you crazy.
