If youve got a discrete mass under your ribs that causing your pain you should probably have it looked at, sooner rather than later but if you have to wait for insurance to kick in then go ahead.
Without actually examining it, I cant really give you any good information. Does the pain change with your menstrual cycle (breast neoplasms), eating (gall bladder, though the location is odd), exercise (cardiac, aneurysms), breathing (lung pathology, rib infections/inflammation/neoplams), etc... The spleen rarely ever has discrete nodules that cause pain, and I dont think the spleen itself even has pain fibers to it. Have you had any hiccups (lesions that contact the diaphragm)? It might be a simple calcified perihilar lymph node, but then a reason for you to have that would need to be undertaken.
It's hard to diagnose people over the internet but the number one cause of chest pain is costochondritis, a simple self limited cartilage inflammation. Anyway, see your doctor ASAP, Im sure they can help you out.
