2) "Looking for a truck" != "Owns a truck"

3) Speakers for his Jeep? - he mentions nothing about owning a Jeep in that thread, he just asks a question.

4) Owns 2 Corvettes?
"My Family has 2 Corvettes that were made in the '70s fully restored."

5) He got a hangover. Oh my goodness. Let's lynch him.

So from this series of threads we can tell that:
1) His rich dad likes Corvettes (which my dad likes too, but isn't rich) and owns 2.
2) His rich family owns a BMW

Wow, talk about conclusive proof.

I like this... "I'm wrong so I'll change the point I was trying to make." By pointing out that he was claiming to own 2 Corvettes and so on (the link descriptions), you were implying that he is a liar, which is what everyone on this forum jumped to conclude.

And posting 3 threads and making 2 passing comments about cars doesn't really fall under the category of "running his mouth constantly."

Just ticks me off that I pay the same as the kids I know who drive double the speed limit and bob, weave, and tailgate but have never gotten caught. It's stereotyping and a horrible system, although many will call it a necessary evil.

The insurance companies don't give rates on a "per-driver" basis.

They use what's called the "Law of Large Numbers" where actuaries crunch statistics to see the chances of any given person getting in an accident. The reason any sub-25-year-old pays through the nose is because 16-24 year olds have the highest accident rates of any age group.

Add to that the fact that sports cars are most likely to get ticketed or crashed, that adds more $$ to the premium.

Companies WILL give a bonus for clean records (10-40%) and good grades (5-20%) but the second you get in trouble your rates skyrocket, because having one ticket or accident STATISTICALLY means you are at higher risk for another one.

Just don't drive like a jackass, and drive something moderate and safe, and after you hit 25 years of age you will notice a huge drop in your rates. If you don't, switch companies.

I know a chick that drives a mustang GT... her car's faster than mine in the straightaways and there's not much I can do about that, but I embarass her at autox and through the mountains.

Her insurance is like $1700 liability only :Q

Well in the prior threads I have seen you post in Kev, it is pretty obvious you just like to troll people. There's no way anyone can make a logical leap and think that RaiseUp is not lying or embellishing some. If in fact his family does own all those cars, then why would he be worried about insurance? There are only two answers to that question. Either he is lying and embellishing things, or he is living through his parents just like Fausto said. I've seen people like you before. You'll suck anyone off that has money.

The other thing that most of us object to, his his bragging about what is PARENT'S have. Tons of people on AT have wealthy parents or are wealthy themselves and they certainly don't brag about their wealth in every post.

It's possible that RaiseUp's family is that well-off, but it's more probable that he is exaggerating. Let me tell you why: over 90% of Internet threads that start out like this end up with proof that the OP is a liar. You are hinging your "logic" on the 1/10 chance that RaiseUp is not lying or exaggerating at all.

He said he Dad owns his own business. I guess you are not familar with business leases are you? Tons of small businesses like to play the "new money" game and lease very nice cars for their family to drive. Then the business hits a rough spot, they can't pay their lease, and then their other creditors come a knocking too. I'm not saying that's the case, but just because someone "has" a particular car doesn't mean they paid for it in cash, or that it is even being paid on to own. I can't remember where I saw it, but BMW's tend to be the MOST leased car out there on the road. Lots of people lease certain cars as a status symbol.

Seriously you must really be in awe of money, because having a 7 series, a few nice cars, and a nice house is pretty typical for most upper middle class families. Of course it won't be those exact cars, but we are talking similar things my friend. Maybe you are really young Kev, but life will teach you three things about people that brag about their money. It is very easy to take advantage of them, they tend to be asshole pricks that no one likes, and finally, they tend to over-exaggerate very facet of their including how much they actually have.

Hey, most of the adults on this board have heard the same tales when they were kids and adults. Everyone knows someone's brother's mom's cousin that has 10 Ferrari's and lives in a Mansion in West LA. Everyone knows that guy, yet he doesn't actually exist. Most of us have seen the BS in everyday life, and the even bigger pile of BS on this board. I've started wondering if ANYONE tells the fvcking truth anymore.

Mill you are totally off base here.

first of all, what do you mean that i troll in other threads? sure i love to argue and blast idiots when they say dumb things, but is that what trolling is?

secondly, you think i'm in awe of his money? i couldn't care less if he was bill gates. i was just trying to explain to the entire forum that jumped on his case for no reason that he might not actually be lying. you're jumping to so many conlcusions here that i can't even begin to take your post seriously.

Lmao, that was hilarious Mill. In awe of money? wtf are u talking about man? Crack kills!

Back to the main point Kev, it's pretty obvious that this 8th grader doesn't own any cars, nor have his license. He's fricking 16! He's not worth the time it takes me to wipe the drool off my pillow when I wake up in the morn.

Wow, persecuting him for doing something virtually every child on the planet does.

Your argument is that there is a small chance that he might be telling the truth. I think we are all pretty aware of that, but thanks for letting us know. Yeah I'm jumping to conclusions, because it is the same thing you did to Fausto. We've all seen RaiseUp's posts before... this is how he does. He MORE THAN LIKELY is embellishing and lying about the things he has said. Even if he isn't(your 1/10 chance) he stills deserves to be flamed for being a prick and living vicariously through his parents(like Fausto said). I can't honestly see why you would defend him unless you were trolling.

Yeah, every child does it, but most have a tad bit of sense by age 16 and stop doing it. Most have a tad bit of sense by the age of 14 and stop doing it, but then again some never do it at all. WTF cares what kind of money your parents have?

He probably was playing Devil's Advocate, no big deal. It's not a bad thing to see more than one point of view... although I still think RaiseUp is full of sh*t, especially considering the fact that he hasn't posted to defend himself by now...

see, this is where reading comprehension could really help you out. my argument was that there's no evidence to show that he was lying, hence he should not be flamed by everyone for that reason.

Yeah I'm jumping to conclusions, because it is the same thing you did to Fausto.
My conclusions were reinforced by the fact that everyone saw Fausto's post, believed that this kid was 100% without a doubt lying, and started flaming him. Your conclusions are based on nothing except what you think maybe probably might be true...

We've all seen RaiseUp's posts before... this is how he does. He MORE THAN LIKELY is embellishing and lying about the things he has said.
We have, have we?

1/10 chance? What area of your ass did you pull that number out of? Who cares if he wants to live off his parents money? Are you jealous or something? If you weren't jealous, you wouldn't care what he said. You could just ignore it.

If I was sixteen years old and had parents that owned those particular cars (and allowed me to drive them) I would not be wasting time posting about it on a forum dedicated to computer hardware, I would be out driving! :D
