Anthony Weiner's wiener

Nope. Please think it through. Weiner could well have had that "So happy to meet you" pic of himself posted privately on his account. He's allowed, you know.

Once his password was broken, the hacker could have found it and used it to deliberately embarrass him by sending it to a young female.

That was my point, that it's definitely his picture but he might not have sent it. It's entirely possible that he really was hacked (in the sense that Palin was hacked) but doesn't want an investigation because of all the embarrassing things that will come out (and inevitably be linked) in an investigation, such as his regular correspondence with a porn starlet (not something with which most wives are copacetic.) Occam's Razor suggests that Wiener accidentally sent it, but there are certainly very plausible alternate explanations for the occurrence and his subsequent behavior.

Speculation based on the answers he's given:

His account was 'hacked', whether by a stranger or someone who had the password and abused it; the picture is him, for personal use, sent to the girl without his permission.

He's now trying to make it clear he did not send it, while avoiding the embarrassing topic of the photo being him.

It may have been a Republican 'gotcha' plot, given how one mysterious poster seems to have been the only one who 'caught' the photo before it was delected.

That same mysterious poster had weeks earlier, IIRC, attacked Rep. Weiner making allegations about young women before as well.

There are other possibilities, from Weiner being involved more deeply to a more sinister plot; we'll have to see what other facts come out. Breitbart has been slanderous as usual.

I just don't care if Weiner wined his ween...

\the gop obsession with weens never ends...

The more important thing about this is that a Congressman's account was hacked, something the FBI should be looking into and for whatever reason Weiner doesn't want to happen.

The fact that Weiner's wiener is center stage is more of an entertaining bonus. Watching him sputter and spout through this is priceless after watching that self righteous POS spout his rhetoric for years on the Congressional floor.

I'm not sure that a Congressman's Facebook and yFrog accounts really merit that level of investigation against his will. You're certainly right about the rest of it, though. This is ultimately meaningless but highly entertaining, not least because of his name. If it were, say, the equally progressive Kucinich's wiener the story frankly would be a bore.

And yet here we have a very left wing progressive who is apparently taking so many pictures of his that he can't say "with certitude" whether or not this one is his. So which side is it that is obsessed with wieners?

So this guy has his account hacked which has now cost him greatly in reputation and stature yet he doesn't want a police investigation of the alleged hacking that brought it all on but he does not hesitate to call the police in on a New York CBS affiliate reporter that attempts to question him in his congressional office? Excuse me if I don't buy into the alleged hacking.

I dont buy the hacking either. I think he just got caught red-handed being a perv, and is using that as a convenient excuse. He doesn't want police involved because once they find out he was never hacked, he will be charged with lying to the police.

Occam's Razor does suggest that he probably sent the photo and merely screwed up to whom he sent it. However, it's entirely possible that he was hacked, but realizes that any investigation will result in still more humiliation and revelations that will perhaps be politically damaging - although it's difficult for me to imagine what someone who votes for Wiener could possibly find more disgusting than Wiener himself. Maybe's he's corresponding with Republicans as well as porn starlets and doesn't want that leaked. Calling the cops on the CBS reporter is consistent with that: An investigation threatens humiliation and political damage, and an honest reporter asking questions threatens humiliation and political damage.

His retaining a personal investigator also plays into this theory. If he can uncover who hacked him, then he can use the power of government under the table to damage or destroy that person while minimizing the chances of more humiliating and perhaps politically damaging revelations. In an official investigation, any political figure this extreme (on either side) is certain to have any damaging or humiliating information leaked for political purposes.

the winner here is jon stewart.

he probably called up weiner and said "hey buddy, i'm running out of bin laden death material, can you post up some pics of your junk or something?"

and lulz were had by all, nobody got hurt, and he got wolf blitzer to print out pics of bulging underwear.

Occam called.

He would appreciate it if, within the self-same thread that you invoke the elegance of his razor, you didn't then immediately turn around and use Hysterical Harry's Hacksaw instead. 😉 😛

Only if you're a hypocrite about it.

So now that's two threads that you post something "funny" about gays and lesbians. But I guess it is alright to do if you "support" them. I see how it is.

I lean right but support gays and lesbians and their rights. And believe me, I am the most anti-PC person around. But I know what is right and what isn't.

I read the other one too, the dude sounds like a bigot to me.
