Ouch

Before I get labeled, let me say I'm in favor of Nationalized health care, and have become an Obama supporter.

But the Gates BS bit him in the ass, and I suspect the public is getting frustrated with congress' deadlock on health care.

I also think the talking heads in the Media are torpedoing national health care, I can see it in their body language & hear it in their tone of voice.

Jeez, last time I looked he was down 8 points. What is making people change their minds? Can't be common sense can it? Naw, he'll be back on top in short order.

True, and it's kindof funny how we got ourselves into this pickle, having leaders who can't seem to gauge what the country really wants, and moreover, leaders who aren't willing to do what it takes to unite both parties in basically anything. Obama could have been an amazing president, but the more he opens his mouth now, the more he's not really doing what he said he would. Especially fiscally, and just about everyone is waking up to the fact that we're really screwing ourselves over.

If Republicans really had something way better than what we're seeing, then.... Obama wouldn't be here? Fact is Republicans screw up too, just in some different areas.

Propaganda works, which is why it's used constantly. Unfortunate fact.

What propaganda do you speak of?

"20% of Patients in UHC die!"
"Socialism!"
"Government bureaucrat between you and your Doctor"
"No Freedom!"
etc etc etc

Well, the only lie in all that is the first one. The figure is actually 100% :)

The toothpaste came out of the tube the week where 1) high job loss stats came out and people realized the stimulus was a farce because the stimmy was sold as a job saving/creating tool - complete with graphs that looked silly now 2) Colin Powell came out and said Obama was doing too much, too fast. Obama went from -2 or 3 to -7 or 8 in a couple days around 4th. The fact these things happened the week after the cap and charade fiasco didn't help. A very unpopular GM debacle was still fresh in peoples minds. Now that Obama is slandering cops after running as Joe Fuzzy post racial the toothpaste isn't going back in the tube. As people learn about health-care (already 53% against now) they will feel lied to (as they should). Oh and sticking up for wannabe dictators in Honduras was a pretty clear indication of where Obama is coming from. People were really stupid to ignore Obama's obvious radicalism but now that they are starting to see it things will get worse because Obama is just going to get more radical and not less once the mask doesnt work anymore.

There's plenty of propaganda coming from both sides.

LOL, we already had to endure what your kind had to offer, I'm more than willing to give this guy a chance and if he does fail that only means we haven't any good solutions as the Republicans have already proven that are only capable of failing. I'll even bet that you embarrass other mainstream Republicans with your hair on fire bullshit.

Doing nothing is better than rushing into something just to say you are doing something and then have it backfire.

Problem is that once it is done, it can't be undone. Might want to make sure that it is done right before it is done. Too bad Obama is only interested in rushing it through like he did with Omnibus and the "stimulus" package.

Well this is coming from a guy who supported the ones who fucked the country, now that we have a guy who's trying to unfuck us from the damage your guys did you expect us to take heed in your sniveling? I brush you and those like you criticisms aside, you have no standing what so ever.

I disagree with half of that. We're still going to get fucked, but Obama is promising a reach around.

I don't like Obama, but since he didn't turn the economy around in four weeks, he's going to get hammered. People have unreasonable expectations and will turn on you in a second. He never had a chance.

NObama. Anyone with an ounce of sense would see through his hope and change bullshit. Do you really expect someone like Obama with so little experience can actually lead a country? The failure to reform health care (should it come to that) is his fault. He is not supposed to sit back and just let the idiots in congress do the work, but what do you expect from the empty suit?

Because he created those expectations.

Do you think Obama would've been elected if he told people *ahem* the truth (as he promised he would)?

he had a rough week, no doubt.

personally, I think that he's trying to host a pep rally when the public really wants the gov to get down to the brass tax... no one wants to listen to him drone on for an hour about zomg crisis, we want him to discuss the salient details of exactly what he wants to happen to fix it (of course, that might actually require him to stop giving congress carte blanche on crafting legislation)

Rest assured the American people still remember that the Pubs are the bigger and stinkier pile of bullshit.
