Yes, Obama is losing some popularity. But thats not because his stock has fallen with the right, they already hate his guts with the rodent fury of a thousand hamsters. His stock has fallen with the left, who are quick to sense betrayal in compromise. You could say that Obama hasn't been Obama enough for them. Does this mean all these dissapointed lefty voters will vote Republican now?. Does The party of "no idea's" look like a viable alternitive as we speak?. Lol!, Obama shouldn't worry.

staying home is a damn easy thing to do.

but did you actually read the link?

Obama is now seen as politically liberal by 76%. That's up six points from a month ago, 11 points since he was elected, and the highest total to date. Forty-eight percent (48%) now see him as Very Liberal, up 20 points since he was elected

that would seem to me to indicate that his popularity is not dropping because the left is angry of compromising (and what's he actually compromised on anyways? he's major initiatives seem to have fallen into two categories: let congress take care of everything and I'll be a cheer leader, or let's not do anything and say we did). his approval rating among independents is down as well, perhaps because he's ceded so much power over to the congressional chairmen.

Would you like links to Obamas stance switching? Is that what youre asking?

The use of the word Mistake implies that McCain/Palin would have been a better choice. LOL.

To imply a binary choice between two evil choices is a false delimina.

Really? What did all 3rd parties get if you add them together? Reality is it was Obama/Biden, McCain/Palin, or someone who has ZERO chance of actually winning.

This. It was McCain vs. Obama. To think otherwise is to delude yourself.

There were many others who ran for the R & D tickets.

Your "reality" scenario is just that, but it's Americans who made it a reality.

for the week of 7/15-7/25 they have him at +13.9% between approve and disapprove, I'd like to see what happens this coming week. The spread has definitely been narrowing.

He needs to actually push some legislation that required explicit thought and attention to detail, i.e. not rushed. When he does that, his ratings will go up.

Damn right it works, look who got elected!!

Yeah, I know. Bush ran on the platform of "TEH GAYS ARE COMING!" and as soon as he was elected, he was right back to trying to give Social Security to the bankers.

More like the Iraq war.

Which is equivalent to saying that reality determines reality.

Polls at this point mean absolutely nothing in terms of future elections, but they DO impact how much pull Obama has to get Congress to do things he wants. A president with little public support has no pull, while a president with great public support can pretty much beat congress into doing his bidding. Obama is going to be very very popular no matter what happens, but his policies are certainly starting to reveal some of their stench, so he's going to have a harder time pushing them through.

Yeah, as long as you understand that all Americans had a choice, independent of each others'.

If Obama succeeds in returning the country to self confidence, deserved self pride, and economic prosperity, the conservatives themselves will see what a pack of horses asses they have always been instead of those more gifted Americans who have seen it all along.

People who identify with a party like a team, for the substitution of their own feelings of worthlessness with the glory of the party, will finally and at last have that prop kicked out from under their feet and they will be left with only how worthless they feel.

This is why the Republicans have gone into frenzied overdrive to destroy Obama. He threatens them with the truth about themselves. They would rather the country fail then that they be seen as the worthless bung hole pucker fucks they really feel themselves to be.

You, Sir, are completely upside down. You are the one who is blaming people with your bull-shit about people choosing. People do not chose who they vote for. They are robot scripts, programmed to vote as they do. You can't make an intelligent choice as to who is the lesser of two evils because your ego is too fat headed to accept any support of any evil.

Because you have no sense at all and can't think rationally, you force people like me to cast the vote you should have to repair the damage. I have no choice because I have to stop idiots like you from throwing the election to the greater of evils. I have to put my hands in the shit because you won't. And I have to do it without even the satisfaction of being able to blame you. You are too self important to do what I can do because you never learned to be humble and it's not your fault. For reasons I can't fathom, ever since I can remember, I decided I would face the truth whatever it is. I had no idea then that the price was going to be that I would have to become a nothing.

I either know what I said because I discovered it and in doing cured myself or I discovered it and know how I AM, or it never occurred to me to make this insight and totally fail to see how it applies to me even though almost all I ever talk about is how people project and never look at the source of the projection. I am going with the notion that it is statistically unlikely I'm being hypocritical.

you know what, just go fuck yourself... when you can group a certain "kind" into a group and then bitch about them, if they were a race, you would be a racist fuck, if they were a sex, you would be a sexist fuck, but no, here you are just a toolbag, who is enjoyed by all the others... Saying what you said is like going to forums.kkk.com and posting "fuck *****"... no one here cares... but go to forums.africanamericans.com and post that, you will be raped for life... and that is exactly why you are hypocritical here... statistically you are hypritical, i will go with the null hypothesis and not the alternative, because, right here, you are a fucking toolbag.

LOL, I'm not trying to force anyone to vote for anyone, nor could I if I wanted to.

Nor am I saying people should have voted for Ron Paul. I mean, Democrats could have voted for Kucinich. People can vote for whomever they want. But what did they do? They voted for Obama, and now you all act like you didn't have a choice. And that's bullshit. There were maybe 15 people who ran just within the two parties.

And as for me "risking the election going to the worse of the two evils," that's just not the case at all. Maybe it's you telling me who I should have voted for? ;)

I'm trying to fix my party. I just wish there were Democrats trying to fix your's.
