It doesn't, unless your method of getting people to the voting booths in droves is scaring them stupid with tales of the holocaust gay marriage would result in. "Get out and vote to make sure your state doesn't allow gay marriage! And, um, while you're there, might as well push the republican button, because we're tough on terror!"

And as to lefties making gay jokes, we're allowed, because we recognize gays as humans and not freaks of nature. My cousin doesn't mind my gay jokes, and I don't mind black comedians making fun of white guys dancing. When there's no hate involved, you can joke about anything, and it should be ok. When the KKK young comedian special is on and Billy Bob tells that old saw about the beloved patriot and the spade, well, if you don't see the difference I can't help you.

It's funny, but being a religious conservative asshat is now a litmus test to see if you're gay or not. Congrats GOP, you've outdone yourself once again!

you're funny. Which party tries to legislate morality for the most part? Big government hypocrites is what they are, and it's delicious to see them called on it, after throwing that shit-fit over Monica and a BJ. Clinton was slime that didn't pretend he was better than you, whereas the Republicans tout 'family values' and 'god hates fags' and that shite. F em all.

just another GOP perv..

it is hardly surprising. What is surprising is that I guess this happened back in June and his team has managed to keep it under wraps that long.

These guys ram morality down other people throats, then show they they have none themselves. What are we supposed to think? Just turn a blind eye or call them on their hypocrisy?

I also hope he loses his posts, never gets reelected, and gets run out of DC, as well as Idaho.

I hope he resigns or is atleast stripped of any commitee positions he may hold(does he?).
God, I don't want to know what kinds of positions he holds :D
Seriously, I respect the rights of people to make jokes as long and respect other people's right to live their personal lives as they see fit. See a pattern? Live and let live.

Is there some kind of newsletter where these signals are disseminated to people? I mean, how does tapping your foot on the floor ever come to be known as a sign that you want to have gay sex in a bathroom? How does something like that get started?

He pled guilty to a misdemeanor right? I call for immediate impeachment proceedings, because, of course we have to be consistent. Right?
This is all part of the Republican ManDate.

Well, to be so noisy and hypocritical about so-called 'Family Values', it sort of invites condemnation, be it serious or no.

Chuck Hagel is about the only Republican I respect at this point, and he's not running again :(

I understand that but condemnation for his actions(whatever they really were) has nothing to do with the "gay" jokes by the "tolerant" left.

Ah, so it's OK for "gay" jokes like above as long as you think someone is a hypocrite?

I agree on the later part and have said as much.

You wouldn't know why it's OK because we are equal opportunity jokesters.

holy sh$$*%T... where have you been living? Having a small child I unfortunately have to visit too many public restrooms. Thank goodness he cannot read yet. But I would say 50% have some sort of advertisement to meet at a cetain time for a bj.

The sears near me is the worst. I usually park there when I goto the mall because it always has plenty of spaces. I may start going to the other end of the mall where they have a JC Penny's. There was a recent sting inthe restroom there and several men were arrested.

My son tries to assert his independence but I avoid letting him go to the restroom alone.

That's a tougher question than you think.

Wrong, there's only one team who constantly tries to deal from a position of moral superiority and it's the GOP.

I love the whining in this thread by the r-wingers, yeah we are mean for belittling a hypocrite because he's a closet homosexual. This however is one individual, your political allies have demeaned and condemned millions of gay people regardless of their personal merits - therein lies the difference.

That's not entirely true, the Democrats do the same thing only in deference to their issues.

I have little sympathy for the man who despite obvious homosexual tendencies consistently votes to to further marginalize this segment of the population.

I'm not religious but the bible does offer some gems of wisdom which you'd think its followers would pick up on:

"Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap."
Galatians 6:7

The source of the laughter IS his hypocrisy. His holier-than-thou anti-gay rhetoric juxtaposed against his restroom actions and his pathetic excuses are what make this situation so laughable. Especially as this pattern (public gay-bigot, private homosexual) seems so typical of the Republican party these days.

If Craig were instead just an out-of-the-closet gay, we'd view his actions as just sad, a byproduct of the anti-gay bigotry still rampant in this country.

I'm no expert, but do out of the closet gays meet in public restrooms for anonymous sex? Kinda thought that was exclusively to the closeted these days.

This whole thing of looking for sexual gratification in an airport restroom is disturbing. With all the security safeguards and personnel in an airport, the risk of being under surveillance would seem to kill any desire.
