Central American migrant caravan reaches Mexico City, demands buses to U.S. Mexican government says most migrants have refused its offers of refuge, asylum or work visas.

https://www.cbc.ca/news/world/caravan-migrants-trump-1.4897562

So they claim that they just want to get away from bad situations as refugees yet they rejected multiple offers from Mexico and now demand buses to take them to the US? Hey, how about P+N members chip in and charter a 747 to pick them up and house all of them at your houses? LOL.

Any of you see the pattern of behavior here?

I see a pattern, they want to come to the US where they probably feel safer and feel there are more opportunities. You're a fucking genius.

Since November 10, 2003...

Anyhow, MOST people who consider themselves liberal or progressive or whatever the fuck you want to call them don't want these people anywhere near our border much less in our country. The can stay in Mexico. They are free now...

We have a moral & legal obligation to give asylum seekers a fair hearing. Those who present themselves at a border crossing should get that.

oh good! at least someone is still worried about the caravan!

I know! It seems that the media and Republicans running for office have completely forgotten about the incoming horde that's coming to steal our jobs and women. It's almost as if an election has been held recently and one political party had ginned up that bs story to fleece their rubes that's no longer needed. What's even better is that the rubes that believe this will sit there and idle like a car waiting for the owner to come out and rev it up again, just to get out and leave it idling until the next time he wants to rev it up.

Racist fools.

Fox & Friends mentioned the caravan an average of 21 times per episode in the six days before the midterms. The day after the midterms, they mentioned it once.

They do know their audience, huh?

Meanwhile, Trump deploys the military at an estimated cost of $220M, simultaneously claims we don't have the resources to handle this glut of refugees through the existing system. And his base cheers him on, for the MAGA!

Listen I've been waiting on the corner since mid-October waiting for the invasion of taco trucks to flood the country. Getting really hungry.

That's the part I don't get. I get that politicians will use hot button issues to fire up their base, that's not new. But when those same politicians, time after time, use hot button issues but never actually do anything to address those issues, why do people continue supporting them?

It seems like it's been decades that Republicans have been complaining about immigration and yet they have never attempted to address the issue in any meaningful way, not even when they have control of all three branches of the government. Why would anyone support that?

If you compare that to Democrats have used health care as their get out the vote issue, they actually have a long record of at least trying and actually accomplishing something in a meaningful way. Under Clinton, Hillary tried health care reform but failed. When Democrats gained control of all three branches of government they not only passed the ACA but prior to that the dems fixed Medicare part D despite being against it the original bill when it was proposed by Republicans.

Do Republicans know they are being used or do they just not care? Is the talk more important than the action?

Those caravans will keep coming no matter who is president and no matter what that president feels about it.

It's all about how those caravans are used as weapons of mass hysteria by those that will benefit from deploying that weapon as the opportunities present themselves.

Lacking any sort of meaningful substance in so many of those contrived issues they've been using to cudgel their "enemies" with, all they have left is "the feels" that they have been conditioned to crave for. Their leadership gave up on fiscal conservatism, family values, personal responsibility, the Rule of Law, religious piety and any other factor that they so loved to distinguish themselves as a party when they threw in with the Trump Clan.

All they have left now is that wonderful feeling they get when they stir up those 'ol fear and hate and bigotry battle cries that Trump has filled their hearts and minds with.

As kids, the lesson Republican voters learned from the story "The Boy Who Cried Wolf" was that the villagers should have kept running out to check on the boy.

election is over what’s going on with it now. The media including Fox have all gone silent and even our AT P&N members have gone quiet.

What immigrant caravan....

The one that was an invading horde of rapists and murderers with disguised middle eastern terrorists thrown into the mix who all miraculously turned into Trump Brand Vapor Enchiladas the moment the Dems took over the House and Trump realized that he now had to play nicey nicey with them to minimize the damage that he caused to himself and his kids.

The honeymoon is already over due to Trump's declaration that a war footing is in the works should the Dems insult his genius in any way, shape or form which will inevitably happen the moment the Dems say anything truthful and factual about him.

Geez, I'm puzzled why Fox is not on top of this, after all they DID say the threat of measles, chicken pox, (eradicated world-wide in 1981), gun-touting gangsters, you name it was an "imminent" threat of this "invasion" force. To be honest, I'm sick to the gills of the American public, supporting any GOP candidate or this sad excuse as a POTUS is disgusting to me, we look like a country of racists and morons.
