Then you really are the moron everyone says you are.
Whatever you say, buddy.
Then you really are the moron everyone says you are.
As are you, and my opinion is that we enjoy a good burger now and again and that alone is justification. You will be hard pressed to find that to be a major health threat. The key with most things is moderation and when exercised allows the enjoyment of many things. Addiction on the other hand is in opposition to moderation, and while many crimes have been committed to gain access to drugs, few have been done because of the craving for a big mac. Eating poorly on a chronic basis is foolish too. That's not what most advocate.
There's no reason for you to exist, yet here you are. Given the choice between the two, the burger is the better choice.
They are eating a lot more than one.
Well I guess that's a problem with moderation isn't it? I can give my kids a burger now and again. Is that equivalent to letting them shoot up just a couple times a week?
You can make a pretty good argument that drug problems are problems with moderation as well. And most folks apparently have a hell of a lot easier time moderating drugs than food.

And yet it's less common to have burger addiction related crimes. You choose to ignore the tragic compulsion of drug addiction. Someone who is hooked on meth isn't the same a someone who likes a cheeseburger. You might as well say rape is equivalent to getting a speeding ticket. I wouldn't be surprised if someone did.
That's just because heroin costs a lot more than 99 cents a hit. There would be riots in the street if someone took away the people's junk food. Look at all the ire a stupid commercial is causing.
Would you show us where a 99¢ burger causes the difference between withdrawal from heroin and a happy meal?
Show us burger induced seizures from not making it to Burger King.
Your argument for equivalency fails.

So, if I eat an Angus Bacon Cheeseburger from McDonald's, which has 790 calories (350 from fat) and burn NONE of those calories, I'll gain 0.2175 pounds of fat. Or, if I had three of those per day and lived a sedentary lifestyle burning only 2000 calories per day, I would gain 0.1019 pounds per day. Why, in only 981 days of eating nothing but McDonald's bacon cheeseburgers, I would have gained 100 pounds! At that rate, I may as well be shooting up heroin, huh?
LOL!There's no reason for you to exist, yet here you are. Given the choice between the two, the burger is the better choice.
I have people coming to buy for syringes for heroin. NY state allows this. There were a few times when there was a distinct possibility that I'd have to prevent them from jumping the counter to steal them. Across the street is a McDonalds and to my knowledge no one has ever come in with burger withdrawal.
The ad draws a poor analogy at best.
We are having an epidemic of childhood obesity and diabetes, not a time to be mincing words about junk food. You can argue that eating a hamburger does not always lead to diabetes and obesity. So what, drunk driving does not always lead to a crash either. Goal is to reduce uptake of junk food, not eliminate it.
Does your agenda account for those of us who are thin as a rail and need high calorie food, or do we not fit into your DPRK like scheme of population control?
Yes.. you won't eliminate it like the Healthcare bill won't eliminate private insurers.
It's not equivalent. That's my point. The junk food problem is far worse. The proof is in the numbers.
I can't believe I'm arguing with someone, in the health care industry no less, that the obesity epidemic is worse than the drug "epidemic."
