it sucks for anyone who is every time a new computer model comes out its just a bit more west. the latest nogaps or whatever its called looks like an almost direct hit on New Orleans

on one side I hope everyone is ok....but the other side of me wants to see destruction :D
I've *heard* that some of the NOAA folks where I work are saying that the NOGAPS model had some faulty data.

A direct NOLA hit would kill tens of thousands of people.
I still don't understand why a city like NOLA exists in this day and age. It either needs to be fixed or evactuated in a permanent manner; even The Big One on the west coast won't cause the kind of damage that they're talking about if NOLA was hit.

wtf? the world needs NO. at least, i do.
Don't get me wrong, I'm just saying that it's stupid to have a city with such high risk of total devestation. It needs to be secured or left, otherwise it's going to take us some obsene amount of cash and time to fix it later, and that won't make up for all the lives ruined.

Gordon did a backtrack from Charleston to Jacksonville.

Zigzagged across the FLA pennisala before heading up the Charleston.

And for the East coasters (Fla->VA) pucker up, Jeanne may be waiting for a kiss.
