What you're saying is true but neither can Trump and cohorts be ignored or allowed to continue the dismantling of the country.

My concern here is parallel to us NOT wanting to label all Muslims as terrorists. Not all Trump voters are "the problem". To treat them as "other" instead of reaching out to them would be an incendiary move filled with danger. I am less concerned with one man, who is already destined to be tared and feathered, than I am with what follows. I speak towards an effort to unite and not further divide the country.

I said smashing the mirror does not solve our problem, I didn't say we shouldn't. I'm all for limiting regressive... influence.

And as always, easier said than done. I'm all for educating the regressives but both parties must be willing and we're seeing a proud reluctance on the regressive part to stay in hate, ignorance, intolerance, justifications, entitlement. If they believe that's the right way to be in the world, in the country I'm not entirely sure they can see that history tells us progressives have much to teach. It is met with insecurity and all encompassing fear of being wrong, condescended to or it's perceived as a loss rather than a gain in the shape of change, which they also fear. It's not hopeless but it is a battle few have the stamina for including victims of the worst behavior (both sides). Progressives are also in shock to discover that the progress isn't what they believed it was. Also, people want things to be easy and what you're saying won't be easy. To both sides it's not about being right although that feels good, it's just common sense... therefore disagreement comes with the belief there's no help for the other side.

I'm a progressive obviously and yes, I know I'm right however I have enlightened many a conservative mind over the years. I've always done it with humor, dismissiveness with an air of being obviously correct and being someone truly hard hearted people truly enjoy being around. Certainly not claiming 100% success or even 50% but I feel good about the subtle changes I've encouraged in limited minds. Including my own father.

Except so many are so proud to label themselves as "despicable" in response to them really being a few.

The media loves this latest non-story, and they are pushing their agenda as hard as possible. Just look at this shit from HuffPo:

Trump Had Over 20 Chances To Address The Portland Attack On Twitter Before He Did So

President Donald Trump tweeted regularly throughout the weekend, but he waited until Monday to comment on the fatal stabbing in Portland, Oregon, which left two men dead after they confronted a man spewing hatred to two Muslim girls.

On Friday, Ricky John Best and Taliesin Myrddin Namkai-Meche were stabbed to death while traveling on one of Portland’s MAX trains. They both stood up to confront a man verbally attacking two girls, one of whom was wearing a hijab.

But Trump sent almost two dozen tweets over the weekend after the fatal attack made national news Saturday. Not one of those messages mentioned Portland, the two deceased men being hailed as “heroes,” or a condemnation of the attacker’s actions that are being investigated by police as a hate crime.

Why are they claiming that assaulting someone for mouthing off makes one a hero? That makes them criminals, and though I'm not defending Joseph Christian, I don't feel an ounce of pity for those idiots. Why the fuck does President Trump need to address this? If anything, he should be condemning those that took the law into their own hands. This bullshit needs to stop. Their agenda is on full display.

You don't need to copy-paste the same post twice. Especially when it revolves around a lie (that the people who died physically attacked Christian).

I'd also like to add that these Trump worshippers are like nothing I have come across before in my life. Admittedly that might speak to my limited world experience but I'm no slouch in that area either.

I had missed this thread, so I was going to move the response here, but you replied to the original before I could delete it.

You are the first person to claim they assaulted him. Confronting someone who is harassing another person is not assault. The assault happened when he stabbed these three men. Christian is the one who escalated a verbal confrontation into murder.

But then I've come to expect nothing but the worst from you at this point.

Took you off ignore for the sole purpose of saying... That guy is no Christian.

He had a knife! Clearly his ranting and hate speak escalated to the point where potential heroes felt it necessary to intervene.

How are you this small to see thisin any other way than it has been reported. Are you no longer human? Do you possess no soul? It's pure blackness inside you and no it didn't help that you step up and believe the true criminal... The murderer should be held accountable for the murders. I meeean... Big of ya in that it's still so small. You do not come from a space of sense you come from a space of ignorance.

Your knee jerk reaction to standing up for whatever it is you've allowed yourself to become and for the situation your special little murderer put himself in... that he was perpetrating upon innocent young women is deplorable. You have a filthy mind and somehow think it's a normal mind. Evolve, you'll like yourself and all others much much more and it will be so worth it. Promise!

I've read at least a dozen articles about this event and not one mentioned anything about the men "assaulting" Christian. To the contrary, they said the men were attempting to de-escalate things and to calm him down.

Please provide some links to news articles saying he was assaulted.

According to Buzzfeed he was a Bernie Sanders or Jill Stein supporter, he opposed the Keystone pipeline, was rabidly anti male circumcision and couldn't bring himself to vote for Trump. So OP is a flat out lie. No surprises.

Only it's not. Did you actually read the article you linked? He was still a Trump supporter -- he just didn't vote that way. He embraced Islamophobic and racist views. His politics were complex, but claiming he was a Bernie Bro to the end is a lie.

How is calling someone a 'potential' something a flat out lie tajjy?
Why not address the cause of this crime, a deep seated hatred from muslims that is only exacerbated by the fat orange fucktard in the whitehouse.

I'm ditching the other thread for this one:

Let's see if I get this straight: A self-proclaimed Jewish Bernie supporter (Joseph Christian) kills another Bernie Supporter (Taelisin Myrddin Namkai-Meche, possibly Jewish?) over words allegedly negative towards moslems after previously trolling Trump supporters, yet somehow this is all President Trump's fault.

Also, why is the following not covered by the media?

"This random white guy sits down and he starts talking and ranting about how he feels that Christians should die and Muslims should die," she says. "He comes running up on them and two guys stood up for them.

According to the mother of one of the girls, he said Christians and moslems should die, yet that has been conveniently ignored by the Christian-hating, moslem-loving press.

Edit: Also, moslems are the true victims here because someone said some words.

You deliberate and repeated use of "moslem" instead of "muslim" has not escaped our notice.

One word: Conservaterrorist!

Time to wake up and stab all them fuckers if they come at you. Who knows what they might be carrying?

Would you rather be assaulted and killed like over a 1000 Americans have been?

I'm not making this out of my ass, do some fucking research yourself and protect yourself, your family from these fucking terrorists that the media will lie through their teeth about and ignore.

Just quoting for posterity. Over and over we see our lovely lefties acting just like this but we're supposed to believe you're the "tolerant" ones.
Save your intolerance-of-intolerance bullcrap response.

It takes time to sort out the lies of the fake media, rather than just parroting everything they say.

Sounds like he killed a white male and a jew, yet moslems are the true victims.

Why do you continue to purposely misspell the word MUSLIM... GTFU
