Another cop abuse case caught on video

Black man follows police commands, and while getting on the ground, cops hauls off and kicks him right in the head.

Of course the man was arrested, but charges were dropped after seeing a video (why does this sound so familiar?)

It was 2013, but video was only released yesterday, and only now has the cop been charged. The initial GJ declined to indict the cop....hmmmm. Can't understand how that isn't illegal, but it was a white cop and a black man.

Just another black man that followed police commands, and got his jaw broken for no reason.

This police officer is an absolute cretin. Even a child who has yet to develop full understanding behind the concept of free will knows this is wrong.

Charges originally dropped?
I mean, why not. If you're not trying to kick their heads off your not doing a very good job. :colbert:

we live in a police state at this point, anyone left defending cops..........

that's the enemy. that's what in our judeo-christian nation is the idea of "Anti-Christ."

The guy didn't get on the ground fast enough for the cop's satisfaction. That put the cop's life at risk. Why do you hate cops?

If I had been the other officer and witnessed my partner or fellow officer do this, I'd turn the gun on him and place him under arrest right there on the spot.

Fucking buddy-buddy good old boys police.

I share the sentiment of the other officers being responsible...
HOWEVER...

Think about the situation you'd create. Both men are armed. If a conflict rises he's either going to surrender... or immediately escalate to deadly force. You holding him at gunpoint means either compliance or fatality. There is no middle ground.

Remember that before you choose to turn a gun on someone. If the situation wasn't life or death... it is after that.

NO you wouldn't.

He would get off. You would be charged with something made up. you would either be fired or harassed until you quite. Then whenever you NEED backup NOBODY would come.

The simple fact that you think all cops are bad based on the actions of very very very few is simply idiotic. Speaks of your intelligence. When a cop does something wrong, he should be punished. No argument here. With all the interactions of police and criminals the wrong actions of a few sadly over shadow the good actions of the vast majority. So yeah it is a few bad apples, you can continue to sing that tune in sarcasm all you want, it is still the truth.

Fear will keep the local systems inline.

*yawn*

Cop is indicted, as he should be, and the unruly suspect got off scott free. Why the outrage toward other police? The police released the video and the cop is getting what he deserves. As for the suspect complying, they make it clear that he was told several times before he actually complied. The kick was not justified, but he's still lucky that the charges were dropped and should count his blessings. The police are not protecting their officer or this video never would have surfaced.

This hurts your agenda of cop-hate and furthers the assertion that there are bad apples. Judge individuals as individuals.

2nd Degree assault. Absolutely no reason to kick someone in the head who is clearly complying with commands.

Anyway, old videos only prove that police brutality HAS existed and does not prove that all of a sudden we have experienced some crazy rise in cases of police acting criminally. It's ALWAYS been there and we for some strange reason are only now giving a fuck about it.

Want to go back to 1970's? Imagine all the videos of police brutality you would find then.

Anybody found guilty of abusing their authority should be executed. Zero tolerance for that crap. They want zero tolerance in the schools, then we should hold our adults in authority to a higher standard too.

Well obviously he wasn't moving fast enough and he go kicked so he would move faster. :\

I am glad to see charges finally got brought against the officer.
