They are black.
"Two 18-year-old men will be charged with murder in connection with an unprovoked attack in broad daylight in downtown Oakland last week that led to the death of 59-year-old Tian Sheng Yu of San Francisco, Alameda County Chief Deputy District Attorney Tom Rogers said today. However, Rogers said he wont file hate crime charges against suspects Lavonte Drummer and Dominic Davis, who are black, for attacking Yu and his son, 27-year-old Jin Cheng Yu, who are Chinese-American. The district attorneys office considered the charges, but Rogers said theres no evidence the attack was racially motivated and Drummer and Davis have previously attacked victims of other races.Drummer has a conviction as a juvenile for assaulting a 55-year-old black man in downtown Oakland and Drummer and Davis were both arrested in April 2007 for the attempted strong-armed robbery of a 31-year-old white man, Rogers said. ."

And that's OK...? What's your angle here? The victims were first sucker punched for no apparent reason but the perpetrators then walked away laughing about it. The father and son then went looking for the two men to confront them. The father and son found them and confronted them about it. One of the men punched the father and the father hit his head when he fell, causing the fatal injury.
