Yet again, the alt-right fails to realize the first amendment guarantees the government cannot prosecute you for your speech. NOT that people have to host your nonsense, much less be forced to listen to it or shut it down with popular support.

Conservative commentator Ann Coulter said Wednesday that her planned speech at the University of California at Berkeley this week was canceled amid mounting concerns about potentially violent protests.

Milo Yianopoullos also posted on his page:
"My proposed Free Speech Week will proceed as planned later this year. I WILL BRING AN ARMY IF I HAVE TO. We will ensure that Ann and others can speak and we will publicly, ritually humiliate UC Berkeley for its failure to meet its legal obligations until conservative speakers no longer fear violent mobs just for exercising their First Amendment rights."

No one was being forced to listen to her. Dipshits at Bezerkley are just afraid of opionions that they disagree with. Stop trying to dress it up like these idiots are supporters of free speech, or anyone else's right to it.

It's shitheads like these that are the first to whine when anyone else even looks at them twice, let alone shouts down an event they're trying to hold.

Hell, someone dares disagree and it's whining for safe spaces and coloring books.

Heh, remember the Rob Lowe Roast?

Someone like her skipping an already stirred pot like Berkeley is probably a good thing. I'm for freedom of speech, I just think it's a pity conservatives can't get this riled when armed groups take over federal buildings, or a talk radio stoked nut shoots up a Planned Parenthood, church group or pizza joint.

I know! Those snowflakes go on to social media and forums and cry about how they just have to be allowed to speak at any forum they want or its fascism and what about freedom of speech!

Then when it's pointed out how freedom of speech only applies to the government they get even more angry and whiny.

Do you *really* think you'd win a pissing match over who whines, cries and yells 'fascism!' at everything they disagree with, using liberal nitwits at Bezerkley as your 'non-snowflakes'!? Really? Lol!

Careful. Your sounding kind of angry and whiny. :D

But let's see liberals get upset at losses of civil rights.

Righties get upset that liberals get upset about loss of civil rights

So yup, I'm going with the overly sensitive eggshell personality snowflakes being the righties.

Both sides whine. No one would win that pissing contest. It's just that the conservative opinions are wrong. But I support their right to publicly and privately be wrong all they want.

It's kind of interesting in a way, because a lot of moderates and left of center folks who've also gotten protested for not being far left enough at these campuses and got assaulted by the mob didn't have the foresight of these far right folks to bring their own army, which is something they are going to need to resort to unless they want the entire university system ceded to the far left.

On the flip side, these far left folks are basically all Humanities students with no job prospects, so maybe they should get their safe space to riot. Companies in tech and engineering are already hiring straight out of high school as they've realized college isn't that useful a proxy for intelligence anymore, so they've started to dispense the pretense.

LOL! Delusional as ever.

Someone speaking that you disagree with is you losing your civil rights! Riiiiiight!

You're sounding pretty damned snowflake, snowflake. Sure you don't need a cookie and a coloring book? Safe space maybe?

You back to pretending your ilk didn't *ACTUALLY* (not your make believe you usually engage in, but ACTUALLY) make those terms what they are? Of course you are.

All this controversy is probably just driving her book sales. I mean, if her stuff is that bad, no one at Berkeley would show up, she'd be ranting to an empty theater.

As to the Ann the Vile One... This is getting out of hand. I would not attend any thing she ever headlined but I absolutely support her right to speak her filthy gibberish.

Wow you just keep editing that comment. :D I guess you have a lot to get off your chest.

When the berklyites are protesting Liberty University for denying Al Gore a chance to speak you might have a point.

Currently this is just the righties protesting because others are protesting.

It really wouldn't be hard to flip the script, you realize? Like, create a protected concern, and then extrapolate threats to it. Then compare the enemy to Nazis.

Like, the Russians who invaded Ukraine were saying they were fighting Nazis. Everyone is fighting Nazis.

She has a right to free speech, free from interference from the government, not taxpayer provided venue and security for it.

Undoubtedly some of the Ukraine militia were Nazis, that doesn't give Russia permission to invade though.

Coulter, Milo and crew would have an argument to make if their careers didn't boil down to "professional troll."

They treat entire cultures like trash, say things they know aren't true, and thrive on shock value and shouting matches over intelligent discourse. What do you think people are going to do, listen patiently and see them as bastions of reason?

It's not that people at Berkeley are afraid of ideas they disagree with, although I don't think the violence helps their case at all. It's that they're not willing to put up with hateful, vacuous crap trying to masquerade as legitimate through a university talk. Peaceful protest would be much better, but are Coulter and her supporters really shocked that saying purposefully antagonistic things ends up creating antagonists?

What's telling is it took you so long to respond yet anyone can see my post was edited right after it was posted! (No time stamp on the edit).

It took you that long to calm your mouth-breathing and form a thought? :D

And what a dumb thought it was, after all that stewing!

That doesn't even make sense.

At just a glance, Liberty University has invited the likes of Ted Kennedy and recently Bernie Sanders to speak there.

I wonder was anyone hiding in their safe space? Are there even 'safe spaces' on Liberty's campus?

You gonna stomp your feet, stick your tongue out go 'nuh uh! nun uh! nun uh!' that Bezerkley has safe spaces? It's funny how you libs can't be truthful about that but instead just lie and pretend it's someone else.

And what of value are you posting worthy of prompt response? You sound like a fool not someone worth debating. Say something thoughtful or thought provoking... go ahead, accept the challenge.

Liberty University is a private college. Berkeley is not.
