in adw i can swipe upwards anywhere on the screen and it will toggle the bar on or off

Long press on any of the icons. You can change shortcut, change icon, or add a swipe gesture. Options for swipe gestures are:

nothing
launch app
launch shortcut
show screen previews
open app drawer
open notifications
show/hide status bar

I picked up a Multimedia Docking Station and my clock is really tiny on it. Mt friends Droid 2 (I have 1) the clock's a lot bigger. Is there any way to customize the screen? I would prefer a digital clock that took up the entire screen. When I first plugged my phone into it, it didn't pop up a box asking if I wanted clock or multimedia mode. I can't even figure out how to reset that, on Google I found somebody saying to go into "settings/applications & set it under manage apps but I'm not seeing it there. Googling this I didn't see anything when I searched for "customizing multimedia mode on android" I sux at the googles though :(

So is it just me or is there not a single, simple, elegant music widget that has no background or album art and just the song/album name with music controls? I see all these other awesome widgets that mesh very well with nice backgrounds, but every music widget out there is solid colors or they have the album art taking up space needlessly. Not even Music Mod looks nice.

ah, thanks...didn't know that. that's per icon though, which is a pain. adw lets me set one for the entire screen

I have a shortcut for the app launcher on each page of the dock and set to swipe up to open the notification bar. Not too bad. Certainly the flexibility of individual swipe shortcuts outweighs the convenience of being able to set 2 gestures, for me anyway.

I wish the two developers would just get together though and put together an uber launcher. :)

Are you going to do the $30 prepaid Verizon deal with your Droid? I'm very curious for someone to try it to see what kind of speed they get.

No because that requires their pre-paid voice which is expensive as shit. The city I'm in right now has free city wide wifi so I might just disable 3g data and go back with Page Plus.
