Now when is 2.2 coming! Or more importantly, when will it be leaked for us rooters?!?

That'd be nice except you know not many current Android phones will get 2.2. Carriers and manufacturers have been slow enough getting 2.1 out the door.

Awesome I'll program a FlashBlocker app for it since everyone I know runs FlashBlock on their PC. I should make a KILLING with that seeing how people hate Flash. But many see like they're still "OMGWTFBBQSAUCE!" over the Android getting it? Crazy he he he.

My app will only cost 2 bucks for anyone interested.

I am sure there are going to be apps to be able to block flash on Android, but there won't be any that will enable it for iPhone :D

Regardless of how you feel about Android or iPhone, you gotta admit that that was pretty good.

uhh you never have to upgrade an Apple device to get an .X update. Hell my 1st gen iPhone lasted from OS 1 to 3.1.3, I know people with Androids they bought 5 months ago who are assed out because they can't even get the 2.x update. That's a huge fail lol.

An almost 4 year product support life is quite a bit better than the few months Android is on. But who knows, maybe you won't have to buy a new phone to go from 2.2 to 2.3

So far all Android phones are slated to go up to 2.2 at least, though it may take awhile.

I could have bet money that the Apple guys were going to come out and say Apple has never done anything like that.

iPhone OS 4.0 will not be released for the iPhone 3G. This is the same thing as Android 2.2 not working with really old Android devices.

Now the next posts you guys will make will be something like "How you can possibly compare this to that, the two situations are nothing alike, blah blah blah"

Apple fanboys are so predictable. Everything Apple does is right and good, everything a competitor does is bad. If they both do the same thing, Apple is still good and the competitor is still bad. :rolleyes:

Uhh, it is coming out for the 3G genius. Besides, it technically got the 3.x and will be getting the 4.x upgrades, whereas we are talking about going from like 2.1 or 1.5 to 2.2 in this case....not exactly apples to..apples heh

lol. Flash on a phone is the biggest thing in the industry right now. If Apple was getting it first you'd be going apeshit crazy with joy. But since Android is getting it..... oh its not even a big deal. Why would anyone want that, right? Predictable.

Actually I'd be happy with some way to only load it when I want it... That way you avoid flash ads and whatnot that slows down things, but still allows for things like youtube to work (I find the whole youtube app on the iPod very annoying when browsing the internet).

Make it work like that and I'll give you $2.50
