Sources familiar with details of the investigation told Florida Politics that Kuczwanski apparently caused the auto accident that began the chain of events, and that he began the shootout that led to his own death.

The sources said the incident began after Kuczwanski’s BMW drifted out of its lane while heading north on Thomasville Road. The BMW hit a white Prius.
Both cars pulled into a parking lot. The driver of the Prius confronted Kuczwanski about hitting him, the sources said. The Prius’ driver got in his car to wait for law enforcement after confronting Kuczwanski. That is when, according to Florida Politics’ sources, Kuczwanski rammed his BMW into the Prius on the driver’s door, and began pushing the car sideways in the parking lot.
Kuczwanski then shot a gun at the white Prius, according to the sources. The Prius driver drew a gun and fired back into the windshield of Kuczwanski’s BMW. Kuczwanski was hit and killed, according to the sources.

Fuck him.

And still allowed to own firearms after this incident. Responsible gun owners... Guess that worked out for him huh?

According to the probable cause affidavit for that case, deputies were dispatched after a driver called to report that another driver had “pointed a small, black in color handgun with a mounted laser at him while stopped next to him at the intersection of Thomasville Road and Bannerman Road.”

Law enforcement found Kuczwanski still inside the vehicle matching the description from the caller when they responded to that 2014 incident. A deputy verified that Kuczwanski had a weapon matching the caller’s description and arrested him on the scene. He was later sentenced to probation, which was completed in 2018.

Fuck him.

Background
1. Man given a plea deal to get out of a felony aggravated assault charge in 2016.
2. Man attempts murder in 2021. Fails.

Florida\Texas rules - If after Kuczwanski's attack, the Prius driver fired and instead missed and then Kuczwanski killed him with the second volley, Kuczwanski would likely be walking around claiming "I stood my ground".
He would probably get invited to a Republican rally to speak about gun rights. And the importance of Jesus and stuff.

Also
He called to say he was on his way to beat traffic.
- Literally

“He was on his way home early to pick us up for a farewell dinner for our daughter,”
- He just got order wrong and did the farewell before the farewell dinner

This is the part that irks me:

However, Kuczwanski’s wife, Rebekah Kuczwanski, said in a Twitter thread that her husband was a victim and confirmed he lost his life. She claimed that he was trapped and assassinated and was trying to escape the person shooting at him. Those comments were made on a thread, posted by Florida Politics Publisher Peter Schorsch, announcing Kuczwanski’s death.

“He was on his way home early to pick us up for a farewell dinner for our daughter,” she wrote. “He called to say he was on his way to beat traffic. He was excited for dinner and to see us. He told us he loved us then never came home.”

She added that his family deserves time to heal and privacy.

“Our whole lives are shattered. The children and I, his friends and family, so many who adored this wonderful, kind, loving man who would do anything for anyone. We are all devastated. The whole world lost a great man!” she wrote.

I’m sorry your husband was a sack of shit (and apparently a poor shot) but that doesn’t give you the right to twist the narrative and claim “he’s the victim”. Fucking self-entitled prat gets pwned but because he’s “a big deal” his family can twist the truth and get other GOPpers to lie on his dead behalf.

Just another white male legislator from a red state casually trying to commit vehicular assault and trying to blame it on others.

Kuczwanski is the typical person who should have had his gun confiscated until he could show the mental capability of ownership.

Why was his gun not taken away after he unabashedly pointed it at someone without cause in 2014?

It's the USA where you're required to have a functioning dash cam and 9mm in your vehicle at all times if you're to survive this mad max hellscape.

I keep an eye on dash cam vids on youtube and I'm seeing a huge increase in the amount of rage in road rage incidents. Some people need their driver's license and guns confiscated as they are a blatant danger to society.

Exactly...maybe pepper spray at the most.

Patchouli oil I'd guess

Unfortunately, world is getting too crazy dangerous not to have firearm skills. Never know when the next maga coup plotter, incel nutter, or general suicidal gun nut will strike.

I mean, what are the odds a Prius driver has a gun? If you are gonna ram a car, that's probably your lowest chances outside of maybe a Nissan Leaf.
In florida? 1 in 4

At least, that was what they told me when I obtained my Florida CCW.

oh, and my solution to the problem? I moved out of Florida. Have not felt the need to carry since.

Florida has Alligators, and occasionally wholesome stories come out of there.
